Cowboys are undefeated in finals games in Townsville. 8 wins zero losses. Teams are simply not prepared for that heat.

Parra to me are the biggest downhill skiers in the comp. If they fail to score early the heat and humidity will really get to them and the score could get ugly

Is it any hotter up there now than in March and early April when they were beaten at home?

Are teams coming off their own summer compared to winter more prepared
Is a team's form in September somewhat different to that in March

You've always seemed dense when you're trolling bunnies fans. I guess that carries elsewhere

Oh so now you're thinking form and the teams themselves might be a bigger factor than the weather?

They are professional players, who gives a shit how hot it is.

The game is also at night.

I remember the last time (if memory serves) these two sides played in a prelim you could have heard a mouse fart after about 20 minutes in...29-0.

NQ were written off before the season started as being spoon faves by most, even though you could see the talent in the kids that Payten blooded in the last 6-7 games of 2021.

Most media have been waiting for them to fail each week and have been left with egg on their faces.

Are we perfect? Shit no, but they're 100% fun to watch. Can't wait to get up home for this and cheer them on, should be a cracker.

23 degrees expected at kickoff. Not that bad. Would have been warmer than that in the corresponding match last year in Brisbane in the daytime. Still, I think the Cows will be too good, probably by a fair margin.

If both teams play their best I doubt Parra get within 10 up here.

And the other way around in Sydney.
Exactly! So given you guys would be zero chance in GF, it’s in every sane persons best interests if you give us the win this week, then we’ll at least have a 0.1% chance of a likeable team being premiers

Parra have left me flawed so many times over the years but this one has legit given me PTSD.

I was on a caravanning family holiday somewhere in a tiny country town in NZ when this game was on. We couldn’t find a pub or anywhere showing it so my old man drove to the top of the highest hill in town to get radio reception which was barely audible.

We worked out if we held the aerial on the van in a certain direction it improved the signal so we took turns one of us outside the van holding it as we listened through the window. That was all well and good until you factor in it was absolutely pissing down and about 2 degrees.

Our shifts holding the aerial was only 15 or so minutes at a time because my Mum had concerns we would get hypothermia.

annnnnnd as history shows we got absolutely belted which was the icing on the cake… good times.
My '05 trauma was witnessed live. Spent the day walking around the city which was full of f**king thwannies supporters who some mistook the red v for their stupid rag. The week leading up felt like impending doom.
Then had the displeasure of sitting in the southern stand with a great view of the horror that unfolded. By the end of the game it felt like I was having an out of body experience as a coping mechanism which triggered an offseason of depression, frown wrinkles and hair loss.
Scarred for life.

I’ve always felt Dragons and Eels fans have a spiritual bond built on the back of failed dreams and consistent soul crushing disappointments.

Give me a hug brother
