Ha, Josh Aloiai was our worst forward in that second half, reggies and the train and trial blokes were alright.

As a Tigers fan I thought the first half was alright. The forwards were evenly matched and Apart from the first try our defence looked better. The class disparity in the 1 & 7 were the difference. Our 5th tackle plays are still the worst in the game, hopefully Hastings can help out there. Liked Peachey at 13. Dillon at the back looked dangerous after a nervous start.

Raiders have named a shockingly strong side for the first trial of the season. Our side looks more the typical first trial team.

So have Manly but they have defined it as the first half side only.

Arguable that in that starting team only Sutton and maybe Guler will be in our 17 come Round 1. Croker probably will but there are better players who should be chosen ahead of him and CNK is not a half lol.

CHN the only other player, though he played what 15-20 mins, who will be in our team Rd 1.

That team impressively lacked CNK (in his preferred position of FB or more beneficial position position of centre), Rapana, Cotric, Timoko, Smith-Shields, Wighton, Fogarty, Papalii, Hodgson, Tapine, Young, Whitehead and Starling.

I hope it is a sign of our improving depth however I won't get my hopes up yet. They'll find a way to disappoint again.

yeah Ruas a good kid, was captain of the very impressive Flegg team who was undefeated when the comp got called off last year. When Api comes next year I think the plan will be to play him off the bench
