Locky “Did you know what you had to do there, Kurt?”
Spurt “Nah I just saw a hole and knew I just had to get it in there.”

I thoughts Souths were just going to roll through the Broncos pack with their power game, but the Broncos scrambled well and their tackles stuck. Souths will be absolutely sweating on Latrell to get back.

I’m not sure this revolutionary tactic of passing to the opposition is going to work for souths.

Maybe they need to return to more traditional game plan.
Souths are a good defensive team, but not good in attack. If you pass to the other team it means you do more defending (which they’re good at) and less attacking (which they’re bad at). Genius.

Well done to the Broncs; seem to be moving in the right direction.

The press conferences for Jason D are going to be torture whenever they lose.

Brisbane were the better team and deserved the win. South Sydney might be in for a fall down the ladder. The Bennett curse is real.

There was an article today ripping into us for not taking JD as part of the succession plan, Wayne had a few things to say

With his track record when it comes to giving recommendations after he moves on, how can any club listen to him? They've all failed

Players queue up to play under Bennett, but follow him out the door as quickly. South Sydney lost Reynolds and were without Mitchell. It'll be interesting to see how much they improve when Mitchell comes back, but they'll miss Reynolds and it will probably affect Cody Walker. Damien Cook didn't look himself. It's only one game so probably best not to look into it too much, but it's definitely something to keep an eye on over the next few weeks.

Your mob looked very sharp for much of the game. There was a period in the backend of the first half when the forwards fell off the pace, but other than that they were quite good. Things will get better when Reynolds makes his debut. If Staggs and Reynolds stay fit then it could be a good season for Brisbane.

If that young Cobbo “superstar” (as Fox refers to him), understood how to position himself, the Broncs would have won by 20+

Broncos defended much better than we’ve been used to seeing and totally deserved to win but Souths were terrible with ball in hand. It’s only 1 game but with no Bennett or Reynolds a significant slide down the ladder wouldn’t surprise.
