The last time PENRITH hosted the season opener after winning the comp they got done by a fellow premiership heavyweight in Newcastle. I'm predicting history to repeat itself.
Well they were a heavyweight until Joey went down in the third round. A March heavyweight. Be careful what you predict, what with Manly's star fullback being a tad injury prone.

Putting aside the w*nkery going on in this thread already, Penrith by 14.

Edit my tip: with TikTok Man out, it will be a Morgan Harper inspired Manly team by 14.

I am predicting nothing more or less than Manly to win this game.

Manly should win with the games best player out. I'm not nearly as high on Luai as most other Panther fans, Nathan carries him really.

Some significant outs for both teams however I think Manly are less affected. Their spine and attack looked in good shape in the trials. Penrith also have new combinations on both edges and so I'm expecting defence will be an issue for them.

Manly by 12.

Manly should probably win. Going from Cleary to O’Sullivan is too big of a downgrade.
O'Sullivan has a lot to offer. With the time he has been here, he has slotted in well. IMO, this game for both sides will be a tad clunky so don't expect the game of the century.:)

Not having clearys boot that can pound you into submission without letting up against a team that eats up metres metres gained for breakfast across the whole field is hard to cover for

Manly is where good blokes naturally gravitate to.

Terry Hill
Matthew Ridge
Craig Field
John Hopoate
Danny Moore

That 90's team was full of top blokes.
Hope you don't support the Eels. More crims than any other team over the years.

Earliest I remember is Paul Mares, car thief extraordinaire.

Jarryd Hayne, Manu Ma'u plus a stack of others.

Notable mentions from other teams.

Matt Lodge
John Elias
Russell Packer
Anthony Watts
Paul Hayward
Danny Wicks

And that's for starters. Roosters aren't angels either.

Hands off Manly.

lol, steady champ....I'm a Manly fan honest.

When I did my little list above wasn't actually thinking of criminal behaviour or not, just their general propensity to annoy other fans really.
