If Souths move out, Accor could be made less sterile and a proper home for the Dogs. Deck it out in blue and white, make it more than just a little sign that says "The Kennel"

And give them more day games, its less cavernous in the daytime from personal experience.

Trust me, if we leave Accor to GWS it'll be funny at first, until they grow to the size of the Swans. Remember, the Swans were a complete flop of a club until the event the "ball" mob call "plugger's point", then their average went from 9,000 in 1994 to 35,000 in 1997. Basically they went from being free ticket flops and South Melbourne fans to a massive one team town club.

Like the Storm in Melbourne, the sport grew, and they now have a lot of "secondary support" from AFL fans who also take an interest in league.

Not many people in Sydney actually support the AFL primarily, but many league fans now take a secondary interest, especially in the Eastern Suburbs and North Sydney.

DON'T LET THEM HAVE ACCOR, IT'S A BAD IDEA

MAKE IT THE DOGS' HOME!!!!
Or just make the damn thing rectangular

Reason number 40000 why this should have been scheduled on literally any other timeslot
If we were smart it would have been ANZAC Day Eve on Monday night.

The game would have drawn 30,000

If the fumbleball does it why don't we? They steal all our ideas so just do that, make Souths-Penrith the ANZAC Day Eve game

Seriously we are gonna lose millions in revenue playing games like this on Thursdays.

Where’s all those fans going to come from ? Mars

accor is a terrible ground it should never be used for club games ever again

even if it means dogs taking more games to commbank and allianz accor is for for one thing …
Being demolished and rebuilt
The fans will come from our base, they'll brainwash them like they did with the Swines.

Seriously we need to be smarter and give them ZERO opportunities

I agree that we need an Anzac Day eve game. Every club would do well, but I think Canberra would be the best host for it. The city swells for Anzac Day and if you scheduled it against a large Sydney club that doesn’t already have set fixtures it will draw so well IMO.

Why did the Sydney Roosters get their own stadium. It wasn't built for any other NRL team. Just the Roosters and other footy codes.

It looks like they've pre sold about 20-22k so far. Hopefully 27-30k depending on weather
Encouraging sales, especially as I don't imagine many are travelling up from the Gold Coast for it after last week's finish by the Titans.

The closer it gets to 30K, the better our chances of having another 160K plus round as I don't see the non-ANZAC Day games doing much.

Question for the group, does anyone know if they added temporary seating at TIO Stadium for the Kangaroos v Toa Samoa clash in 2017? Just curious how it got a crowd of 13,473 in the venue?

Because the NRL didn't build it, and as far as the people who did build it were concerned it had multiple tenants + its location makes it desirable for events like concerts

Plus all the trust politics

I don’t think that the AFL has any interest in playing games at ACCOR. Showgrounds is too big at 24k. If anything they will move a couple of GWS games to SCG.

Channel 9 would rather shove Hamish Blake in our fac- oh wait they are doing that instead of having a Monday Night game that will actually work both for TV and those in the stands
