The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

I'm not sure we should be laughing at A-League for getting a 29k crowd. It is less than ours the night before which is great but still a very good crowd.

Re: GC AFL, it looked at least 50% to me so 60% ain't a stretch. We might want to worry about our own GC crowd because i note no one has mentioned it here, aus stadiums has it as TBC and it looked grim on TV.
Every paying soccer fan in Sydney was there. We can laugh as much as we want.

We got 36k for 2 of 9 clubs

The averages of RL clubs in Sydney combined equal roughly 150k

If we had 2 teams they would theoretically each average 75k

That puts the Swines, Sydney SC and Waragalahs in context.

37c hottest Canberra March day............ ever.. like in 110 years
& 35c at kick off

you'd get sunburnt in the shade down here today

still around 14000
so way above a pass mark
I remember games in the country in 42c in the sun...A trial a few years ago, Raiders v Storm in Griffith.

The metal scoreboard cards were burning

*EDIT* Just saw SLRBRONCOS posted this already, apologies

General ticket allocation has already been exhausted for Dolphins vs Broncos on Friday night.

The weather forecast looks pretty good for Friday in Brisbane, so we should be in with a good shot of cracking the big 50k mark.

If we do crack the 50k mark at Suncorp, it will be the first time a regular season NRL game has clocked 50,000 since 2016 when the Sea Eagles/Broncos and Storm/Cowboys double header drew 52,347 at Suncorp.

If you exclude double headers, you have to go back to the 2014 Easter Monday game between the Eels and Wests Tigers, which drew 50,668 at Stadium Australia.

It is far too hot for rugby league tbh. I would rather the season ran through October and November rather than March, which is usually a hotter month anyway.
