The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Feel like the Dolphins aren't doing themselves any favours with their release strategy at Suncorp.

They've just released a bunch of silver seats in Bays 332 & 333 late this afternoon despite all other bays only having a handful of seats most of today and they've released nothing for the Bronze & Red price points despite them moving earlier in the week.

I'd like to say Platinum is looking fullish and only the corner Golds are empty, but I fear there are still plenty more holds.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we'll get to 20K tomorrow night based upon where we currently are (I'm assuming that Stadium Members are unlikely to be out in force as well)

The dolphins staff member that has control of the releases is pretty shit. The Broncos rep is really good for the most part.

Got my tickets for ANZAC Day at Allianz Stadium..

Looks like the game is selling pretty well -
1. Category 1 is down to single seats only
2. Category 2 is down to single seats in Tier 1 and should move a lot in Tier 4 next week
3. Category 3 still has a reasonable amount of capacity
4. Category 4 is selling fast

I expect it to crack 40,000 if it's a good weather day. Anything less would be disappointing.

*EDIT*

I got pax 19,903. I'd estimate that there's approximately 23,000 seats available for the general public at Allianz with the remaining 19,000 available for corporates, and Stadium and Roosters members.

As such, that equates to over 86% of the available tickets being sold to the general public just under 2 weeks out from game day.

In contrast, the R3 clash between the Roosters and the Rabbitohs had sold approximately 19,000 tickets to the general public the day before the game. It ended up with a crowd of 36,639.

TLDR? The summary is we are trending towards a crowd of over 40,000, and it could even top the record crowd at Allianz 2.0 (41,906 for Roosters vs Rabbitohs in R25 2022) and the record ANZAC Day crowd of 41,142 in 2018.

Dolphins v Rabbitohs 16k
Sharks v Roosters 11k
Sea Eagles v Storm 16k
Warriors v Cowboys 20k
Knights v Panthers 20k
Titans v Broncos 25k
Raiders v Dragons 16k
Eels v Bulldogs 25k

Total Round 149k
Average Round 18.5k

It’d be awesome to see the dolphins get to 20k, that could see us with 5 potential 20k+ for a round. With The Sharks & Manly also playing at near on sold out grounds, the Comp really is thriving.

I'm getting tickets for the manly game today, I'll tell what the pax number is later today, but are pax numbers really that accurate?
They're a pretty reasonable guide, but not perfect. Most clubs / venues start PAX close to zero for a game, though they can he set to start at any number, and they reflect roughly how many tickets have been printed for a game.

Member tickets generally aren't included in PAX numbers, unless the members have to apply for some form of flexi ticket. Corporates vary on venue, what type of package they have, etc.

Usually the two scenarios where PAX numbers can be wildly off are when the PAX starts at a high number and/or there are a lot of printed tickets which might not be used (freebies, promotions or in the past clubs sometimes would print off tickets and sell at events like the Easter Show at the NRL tent for example).

Just bought tickets now and the PAX number is very close to 11k,so by game time it will be over 15k.

Might be closer to 15K once Season Ticket holding members are adding. Looks promising and feels inline with what Ticketmaster is showing and what the club is expecting.

Biggest threat to a 15K+ crowd I imagine would be rain.

Only rain during the day judging by the forecast. However 8pm kick off the weather looks fine so far...

With the amount of promo there is currently on TV, radio, youtube, etc. for this weekends Titans Broncos game, you would expect such a high number for CBUS. Literally every second ad is a "GET YOUR TICKETS HERE" ad.

Edit - Just went to check the sand sections and they're saying 10 tickets available but when I go to 'buy' one, it is saying there is not enough to fulfil this request..

Level 5 has just gone on sale at Suncorp for tonight's game which is promising. It's currently not possible to buy more than groups of 3 tickets behind the posts in the Silver sections, with them looking around 90% full, Platinum has around 300 tickets left on sale, whilst Gold is pretty full except for the corners.

Both Level 5 Cat Red bays aren't even allowing single seat sales. So either there's an error or they're selling super quick. Hopefully they get some more up soon.
