Broncos and the crushers peak crowd average combined was around 55k

30 years later and with major population growth and we are getting just a bit more than that with a migration of fans to the fumble ball

it’s a good start but 70k cumulative would be a target as the dolphins grow and the broncos also stop being lazy

wirh good time slots the qld derby games at Suncorp should be getting 40k if not regular sellouts

Hearing about the shit reporting on the Rams demise pisses me off! Ch 9 sucks balls.
I live in Adelaide and was hit with FB ads tonight offering cheap tickets to the richmond game. $15 and u14 for free.
thought that was interesting and prob a sign they haven’t sold like they thought they would. Good!
It’s actually sold much better than anyone expected - 8 of 9 games are sold out. All the paranoid NSW folk will be pleased to know that the SA Govt has put up the cash and it will be staying in Adelaide for the next five years, so no Victoria invasion is of Sydney any time soon

8 of 9 games soldout is easy when you're playing 3 games at a fenced off cow paddock dopey LOL

If the AFL stick to the same week of the year, every year, then the NRL can organise a draw where the Storm play at home on that vacent weekend where there is no AFL in Melbourne. Or the NRL can release its draw after the AFL.

Personally I much prefer the NRL do their own thing, and things take care of itself. Example bringing in the Dolphins.. Meanwhile the AFL copied an idea from rugby league.
Yeah I agree, head down arse up, if League just gets on with all the potential things we could have happening we`ll be fine. Oh yeah, and the occasional shot across the bows from PVL.
Gil `the squatter`s remarks this week about their ridiculously named gather round being better than ours already will I can guarantee stoke the fires in PVL`s belly.

Games going great guns at the moment and comments by other codes CEOs just go to prove it. We just need to keep the upwards trajectory by making the best decisions for our game.

Pre-sales for Mt Smart is looking stronger this weekend than the Bulldogs match a couple of weeks ago.

Warriors are also doing kids in free in the South Stand for school holidays, so hopefully will result in a 20K+ crowd.

Hopefully we can see 3x back-to-back 20K+ crowds on Saturday.

Really good crowd considering the circumstances for the dolphins and I liked how they were all packed into the lower bowl.

They would be crazy if they insist on taking games to redcliffe and sunny coast next year when suncorp will be at full availability.
Sunshine Coast needs a new stadium, if they got 1 similar to GC , I'd be up for them taking a couple of games there.

Been in Adelaide last two days for work, the place is packed with AFL fans from interstate clubs, I can see why the other states are keen to try and get NRL MW. These full round ideas are great sports tourism event. Well done NRL and AFL for copying English RL :)

The Raiders membership department might be the worst. I'm planning on heading to the game on Sunday with some mates but given the weather forecast we want undercover seats. sorry, I'll sit in a hurricane for the Broncos and QLD but everyone else can git farked.

Ticketek shows nothing really available in the undercover sideline seats.

Meanwhile, this many are available for possible new members at the Raiders ticketmaster membership website. Probably going to just buy GA and poach some seats in 27 or 28.

but eventually the park footy clubs will be left behind as more and more clubs move to modern stadiums

We only have 3 modern stadiums, I don't see Manly or Cronulla moving anywhere, as most fans won't travel. Plus we have the central Coast which has so much potential for good crowds, but clubs refuse to go there. For a Rugby League heartland the place has turned into a ghost town as so many NRL fans are missing out.

well the AFL hasn't had an original idea in their lives , ofc they're going to copy what RL does

That`s odd, because I saw an article saying that the vast majority of interstate visitors, about 50k, had driven over the border from Victoria
Now you wouldn`t be talking the fumbleball up again would you.
