I don't understand why the Warriors don't sell several thousand $15 standing tickets on that huge north hill.
Is there a reason they don't?

Warriors named 26,009 for the sold out Wests Tigers game last year. Definitely looks over 20K, but I'm surprised how many empty seats there are in some bays.

On the Northern End of the ground, they use to have seats on that end back in the early 2000's.. This is a photo from 2005, so I don't see why they couldn't reinstate them.

This is the Southern end at the same time incase anyone thinks I've gotten my NSEW mixed up

It looks pretty steep, maybe deemed unsafe?

If they could level it a bit (if that is the reason) or build another stand you’d think they could get 30k to big games instead of 25-26k.

They've had it open before for crowds.
I've walked on it. It is more than capable of having spectators on it.

When was the last time it was open though? Could have changed. There’s obviously something stopping them.

Was it that Tonga WC game a few years ago?

Yeh I can’t remember any after that, Warriors fans would have a better idea if there’s any reading. You’d think if they still could they would have for the welcome home game last year at the least, unless it costs more than it’s worth.

Great result for the Titans, hopefully they put on a good performance so those fans follow them up to Suncorp next week.

Encouraging signs at Newcastle
