If you exclude the Grand Final and double headers, its the bigger single-session NRL crowd since the 2015 NRL Preliminary Final between the Broncos and the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium (51,826).

It's the biggest single-session regular season NRL crowd since the R25 clash for the Minor Premiership between the Rabbitohs and the Roosters at Stadium Australia in 2013 (59,708).

Also the sport that should not be named is playing at the gabba too so would have poached a few hundred flog corporates

Hilarious joke...on maths, Sydney has 9 teams

It's the 2nd city for sure though, then probably Leeds/Bradford and Greater Manchester
It's no joke, why are they taking the magic round to Brisbane? And not Sydney? Coz they get better crowds then we do. Love to see three days of magic round in Homebush, and will Sydney people turn up like Brizzy fans? Probably not...

It'll be interesting now to see what sort of crowds the Broncos and Dolphins can bring in in their pre-Magic Round home games.

Sat 1 Apr 7:35pm - R5 Broncos vs Tigers at Suncorp
Sat 8 Apr 7:35pm - R6 Broncos vs Raiders at Suncorp
Thurs 13 Apr 7:50pm - R7 Dolphins vs Rabbitohs at Suncorp
Sun 23 Apr - R8 Dolphins vs Titans at Suncorp
Fri 28 Apr - R9 Broncos vs Rabbitohs at Suncorp

With the Broncos top of the table, and the only team that remains undefeated, some of these mid/high 20,000 crowds in recent years may be more like low 30,000s in 2023.

So good to see Suncorp being used every week like that, that`s the way it should be.

9 teams are competing for 5 million in Sydney = 555,000 per team
3 are competing for 3 million in SEQ = 1 million per team

On face value, without saying that the SEQ corridor is heavily Broncos skewed, Sydney has more total fans but due to less teams Brisbane has a higher average.

Sydney will always be the capital but Brisbane is the big lights

Great crowd in Brisbane. In the next deal, the NRL should look to push back the Friday start times. 6:20 pm and 8:10pm. On TV the end of one game will jump straight into the start of the other. You then hook more viewers into watching both. The extra twenty minutes will improve the early game crowds.
