The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

Okay so I actually read this one properly - Bulldogs quoting the 2017 crowd of 35,984 as close to what's expected tomorrow at Accor in their preview:

Before a crowd of 35,984 on Good Friday - a similar crowd number to what is expected this Friday - then coach, Des Hasler's men pulled away from the Rabbitohs by 15 points when they nabbed three late tries in the final 17 minutes of the match.

In good weather I agree. IMO with the weather we’re likely to get a lot of no shows but fingers crossed it’s not too bad.
Here's hoping the rain either comes in the morning and clears or holds off until the evening.

The volume of pre-sales puts it in reach of 50K when you include traditional Good Friday walk up, etc, but if the rain is heavy, then it may end up closer to 30K.

It would be nice to have a third 40K+ this early in the season.

There a massive difference between an AFL sell out & a NRL sell out .
An AFLOL sellout can have up to 7K empty seats …no where near full .
A NRL sellout has probably 500 empty seats .
Just another smoke & mirrors job by the AFL

Its mostly due to members with reserved seating or stadium members not showing up. Sellouts are generally applicable to available seating. Its a problem the AFL has been looking at for years.

Should be some great crowds Friday and Saturday.

40k+ for the Dogs, hopefully, they can get close to 50k with a big walkup from the Easter show.

The Cowboys are down to 18 single-seat tickets, will be a complete sell-out by early tomorrow. Probably 22.5k accounting for corporates and season ticket holders going away for Easter.

The Panthers should sell out by Saturday as well, about 20k.

Broncos looking likely to get around 30 - 35k.

I believe St George have the most supporters in the League, but for some reason they have dissapeared over the years..
Voting with their feet over the "Tiger-esque" level of incompetance shown by the club's front office and coaching staff.
