I'm hoping for model No 4.
Otherwise, it's going to be an extremely wet weekend in Sydney.
Purples are over 100 mm's of rain

For those of us that give a shyte, here is an updated map of how the Broncos are going with presales.

- Black line - predominantly sold*
- Red line - open for selection with the majority of seats available
- Purple line - will probably be opened for sale tomorrow night
- Areas with no line - I'm not sure we will make it.

*there are some seats available in 603 and 604, these might be recategorised to 'corner' if the corner category sells out tonight or tomorrow.

Schedule a game every Sunday featuring the roosters or south’s vs other sides (as the away sides), at least vs the other Sydney sides

yes it means clubs losing a home game which the nrl could buy off the clubs

the match of the round used to be played on Sunday in the 60s and they would get crowds of 30 to 40kish

not all that often
1966 was the stand year for crowds in the 60s and only 3 matches of the round got above 30K
Remarkably one of them apparently hit 56K and the average was 24K

That looks a much better view than the similar seats at the old sfs

The more games we play here and not at homebush the better

south’s needs to move here asap

The old SFS was a shocker and the new Allianz is a far superior product from sightlines (steeper seats closer to the ground = better viewing) to circulation (the continuous stadium concourse is a big win) to the roofline which provides better wet-weather coverage (but it isn't perfect).

I agree that the Rabbitohs should be relocated to Allianz in 2024, and the NRL should encourage the Dragons to vacate Kogarah and split their games between Allianz and Wollongong.

On Accor + Sydney Olympic Park - I think it's as much about event creation and placemaking as it is about good scheduling and good stadia. Both would enhance Accor + Sydney Olympic Park. Transport connectivity is necessary either way.

To elaborate on the first sentence, it is evident that games at Accor get a nice bump (particularly on Good Friday and Easter Monday) because of the Royal Easter Show, so they have become synonymous with an "event" for families looking for that 1-2-punch for a good outing.

There's nothing to stop the NRL from family-friendly scheduling for the entire duration of the Royal Easter Show. We saw the Rabbitohs and Panthers draw a crowd of almost 20k on a wet Thursday evening...3 days after the show closed. If that was scheduled on the Sunday afternoon before the show closed, there's a good chance the scheduling and better weather would have seen a crowd up to 30k.

Not only should the NRL control some variables (i.e. scheduling), but it should also lobby government on things it can't. For example, the Royal Easter Show could be extended to cover all of the school holidays. The Royal Easter Show brings obvious benefits to Sydney Olympic Park, and it would serve the NRL well to extend the benefits over a longer period of time.

Similarly, the NRL should push for Vivid Sydney to be expanded to Moore Park and Sydney Olympic Park (heck, it's been expanded to Chatswood, North Sydney and Taronga Zoo). A laser light/drone show as part of Vivid Sydney would be a similar drawcard for people drawn to event-based NRL games. You could create a nice Vivid precinct at Olympic Park with music at Qudos Bank and The Dome, sport at Accor and Giants Stadium and light/drone shows that bring everything together. Same goes for Moore Park.
