Down to single seats on the Grandstand for Friday's Panthers v Roosters clash. Family Hill is also sold out, so match is on track for 17K+.

Lower bowl down to single seats and as per usual Western Grandstand is sold out at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Southern & Eastern Upper still have plenty of seats, though there has been movement in the South this week. Looking like 15K+.

Very little movement in Newcastle, though not surprising with the weather predictions and the fact it is Mother's day.

"We speak about it every year, but it's the coldest place to be ... sales are talking up near 20,000 (spectators) this weekend (against Parramatta) and it's gonna be freezing.

Parramatta has traditionally been a strong draw card in Canberra and ticket sales are looking positive, but didn't think it was heading towards 20K. Happy to be wrong though.

If the wind stays away it will draw really well , partly cloudy & 17 is the forecast , its going to be chilly by kickoff around 5
, but 20K is certainly doable

pax on Monday was 14K when I got my tickets.

Doesn't look like tonight's game will get above 20k even though the weather here has been wonderful today and the Broncos have a decent sized fanbase in Melbourne. Diamond's down to single seats while every category below it still has ample tickets as of this post

Meanwhile, Venues NSW chairman Rod McGeoch has revealed Sydney’s multi-venue bid to bring the annual event into Blues territory.

So we can just have 8 games in Sydney at Venues NSW grounds of Parramatta, Homebush and SFS. Not much different to a normal weekend. Might just need a double header to fit all the matches in
I‘d still leave Magic Round where it is but maybe that’s not a bad idea for another marquee event. A double header round played out over a long weekend? Maybe needs a sexier name like say ‘Stadium Big Bash‘ or something like it. The marketing gurus could come up with something.

Fri. 2 x games at CommBank
Sat. 2 x games at Accor
Sun. 2 x games at Allianz
Mon. 2 x games at either of above stadia?

The fumblers claim a sellout there at around 32-33K ,
we will finally see what a real one is & looks like.
Hmm. I think ours will be similar unfortunately, but I hope to be wrong. The capacity has been reduced to 37500 and while the BCC members have needed to opt in to reserve a seat, I am doubtful that they'll all show.

Honestly don't understand how putting in 2 new screens is a multi-week process
Or indeed, why they waited until the busiest time of year for the stadium (league, union, soccer seasons all happening) to do this work. Should have started it in October last year. New screens will look great once they're done though, a vast improvement on what was there before.
