in the late 90s I used to get a final series package with all games played at SFS. Admittedly the crowds then did not look good

That was Sat and Sunday and far cheaper than $70 so it was possible for neutrals to attend

Nup, despite their opponent coming from interstate, Cronulla chose to play their semi against Cowboys at Shark Park last year. They’ve earned that right to play it at home and I don’t begrudge them. Shame a lot of their own fans will get locked out, though.

The club would of done members surveys etc across the season, If they knew members would show they would move it.

Unless it will draw 25-30k then it isn't worth moving to the bigger grounds

They lost me at locking out 25,000 fans. There is no way it would of drew 37k if at Allianz

Too modest! Roosters regularly cop it but if this was at Allianz I’m sure it would fill (and if the SCG trust gronks show it would get 40k) and Roosters fans would own a 2:1 split.

That is how I see it, same too it's lack of use next week

Club games are cheaper though. Cat 2 family tickets for the Penrith game are $210. $70 for an adult

That coupled with Roosters v Sharks in 2018 drew 24k.

The week after we played the Sharks and drew 19k

That is the reason the rule changed back

Used my nrl account to get the 4pm broncos storm early tickets release and i was 7 minutes late and most of the good tickets were swept up. For sure looking at a 50k crowd this friday night. And hopefully my bronx break the hoodoo

39k at Allianz last year for the Sharks vs Souths semi final... from memory it was a pretty even split too, plenty of Sharks supporters. No reason at all to think there wouldn't be 35k+ if it was at Allianz instead of Shark Park.

Despite the view to the contrary, shire residents are willing to travel to Moore Park and do regularly. Plenty of swans and Sydney FC fans in the area that go to those teams games.

I get we are their worst case scenario for moving a game because it is literally our home ground. One has to wonder where they would play a home final against us in weeks 2 or 3? They took you guys to SFS which is the next worst case so I guess they would take us there too.

They've hiked the Broncos though, category 1 for us, $120. Category 1 for the rest, $90.

They've also deviated from the Broncos categories and put behind the post corners as gold for $65 - these areas are $40 for Broncos home games. Some areas are slightly reduced but overall it's more expensive for us.

Just a bit annoying, but they may as well use us for some more coin while they can.

2. Put tickets on sale 9.00 am Monday for Sharks fans/members only for 48 hrs. Advertise this to the max.
3. Block off the northern end lower and upper levels for Roosters fans. Unavailable for Sharks fans to purchase during the Sharks window.
4. Give the Sharks fans a two day ticket window for priority purchase as stated in point 2. Use a password if required.
5. Open up ticket sales for Roosters fans on Wednesday 9.00 am in the Roosters allocated northern end only, while continuing to sell tickets to Sharks fans.
6. Then, Thursday/Friday, open up the rest of the stadium for sale. A free for all for whatever is left. There would be a mix of fans in the remaining areas.

This not only ensures demand for tickets, but also creates an "us vs them" divide of fans.
It's not really that hard, and I reckon that 30 - 35 000 would be there, not 13 000 at a cow paddock in The Shire.

So this is how you fix it.

Each Sydney team nominates at the start of the year which of the 3 appropriate Sydney stadiums (Accor, Allianz, Commbank) they will play at if they make a home final. That gives fans plenty of time to plan and save their pennies.

And then we'll sit back and watch the media and other gronks complain when the stadiums are half full and call for finals to be played at suburban grounds.

Was thinking is the top eight format wrong?
Shouldn't top four sides get home ground advantage first week?and play against 4 bottom sides? So Warriors and Storm don't get home games,but Sharks and Newcastle do? Something just doesn't sound right.
