The Game 2023 Crowd Watch

The Brisbane Lions have secured a prelim in Brisbane the same weekend as the Broncos and it will be the Saturday night fixture.

If the NRL wants to maximise the amount of corporate revenue, they really should schedule us on the Friday night.

Surely they'd want Penrith to get the Saturday night game given that getting to Homebush is a nightmare on Friday.

So when is the redevelopment of the area around Shark Park actually going to be completed, and what impact will that have on the capacity of the ground?

Sharks ground is a blight on the game.

Give them a rest from the comp until they get their ground in order. In their absence, promote their feeder club Newtown. Henson Park has a higher capacity.

Bye bye Sharks.

Not if you play the Warriors

But it looked good on television!
😁
Yeah that's what some of the gronks in the media have been saying.

I think that ground looks terrible on television even when packed. So many eyesores, including those spare blue seats high up on the leagues club side. A half-full Allianz would look better. Even a packed Waverley Oval would look better than that rubbish.

What’s the deal with this number? Is the crowd actually bigger but that’s the safety limit or are they just counting tickets sold?
I reckon so! Stadiums have licensed capacities. The seated capacity at Suncorp is something like 52,200 (since the new screens went up) but they are still licensed to have 52,500 attend. They just make up the rest in the corporate areas.

I think that figure is what Bluebet is licensed and they just announce that figure when they oversell.
