Panthers dominance over the last 3 years shows the folly of the 2020 GF manipulation. In an effort to give a different team a premiership an attempt was made to give to win to the panthers. Turns out it was not needed they went on to win the next 2.

I hope for neutral reffing on this Broncos are on the up and if good enough will get plenty more chances, panthers will have ups and downs and eventually fall from the top naturally.

Either narrative is fine imo. The historic 3 peat or the Broncos return to form and an returning the trophy to QLD so hopefully the NRL lets the teams decide

Gonna open up a salt mine in this thread when we win.
I wouldn't be investing in it.

All trolling aside for just one post, it should be a great game between 2 fantastic teams. Whoever wins will be worthy premiers. I think our experience and stingyness with providing chances will be enough to get us over the line. I'm expecting a contest for about 60 minutes with us finishing the stronger. But Rugba Leeg is a funny game sometimes, In 2003 we couldn't defend our line if our lives depended on it and relied on scoring at will, come GF day we looked like a defensive juggernaut.

Against any other team and Manly's 40 - 0 record would be in serious danger. Against you guys not so much unless the nerves really get a hold of the team. With Reynolds there I cant see that happening though. 2021 will be burning him hard, it's going to be a tough assignment to get over the top of him.

All the ingredients are there to make this one of the all time great GFs.

And if by some dark wizardry we happen to lose, we will always have that we are the only team in history to win a GF on your home ground. It's our house, now and forever.

Just looked up the stats since Latrell joined Souths in 2020.

Reynolds has played 90 club games and 42 since joining Brisbane. Latrell is at 64 and 33 respectively in the same time period.
One of the greatest recruitment blunders of all time that one. lol@souffs.

I'd actually get a bit of pleasure seeing Reynolds win a comp in a year Souffs missed the 8.

Broncos have been the better team in 2023. Would have had the minor premiership if Kev didnt rest everyone. So they're the only team that would worry Panthers this week that were in the finals.

Panthers are favourites only because they've won it the past 2 years. On this years form the Broncos should be ahead slightly, while this finals series it's hard to tell who has been better. Broncos do have a lot more x factor in their attack and it's the sort of unstructured attack that tends to cause Panthers defence problems.

Both teams disposed of Warriors and Storm fairly easily. I feel like both teams looked more vulnerable week 3... Warriors scoring 3 tries fairly easily while Storm created opportunities also they just bombed them. So can't even read into who's better through the finals series yet IMO.

This really is a 50/50 game.

You can see that PENRITH fans are caught between claiming underdog status and smugging to the world about the 3peat.

Someone finally addressing the elephant in the room. The morons in the media always paint it as a Reyno vs Ilias situation when it was never, ever about that. It was always about who gets the big bucks and the club backed Latrell. History has shown how it's worked out so far.

Anyways, water under the bridge and all that. Reyno has taken the Broncos from cellar dwellars to a serious footy team. Walsh has taken them from a serious footy team to grand finalists.

I for one am fully prepared to see Reynolds kick a sideline conversion to win it for the Broncos.

In saying that, as much as I despise Penrith, I was raised in the Super League era and I'll never wish the Broncos success at anything.

So for mine I'll hopefully watch Souths win the State Cup and then get really drunk.

Wow an unbiased take from a Panthers fan, I'm impressed.

The difference will be that Brisbane will be playing in a grand final, for the Panthers it's just another game. And that one extra day of recovery will benefit the Panthers.

I don't think it will be a classic for the fans as much as Ch 9 will hype it up to be. In saying this, I think the Panthers will snuff out most of what Brisbane will throw at them defensively.

Panthers 26/28/32 Broncs 6/12/18.

lol. Saying it's just another game is a bit too far.

They say themselves they treat every game just like any another, which makes sense if that is what they've done all along.

Why put pressure on yourself in changing the mindset, and I don't think the Broncos will handle the scenario as well as the Panthers.
