Brown is now back & this will assist Parramatta hugely , their F/A is exceptional ( 2nd in the league) & they're only 2 wins off equal first & 1 win out of the top 4

for me the Sharks are shakey in the 4 & funnily enough , its started to go a bit pear shaped again for Brisbane too

Top 8

Penrith
Parramatta
Melb
Warriors

Brisbane
Raiders
Sharks
Souths

Cows will challenge but just miss out , taking it right down to round 27

Titans
Roosters
Manly
Dolphins
Newcastle , will all drop out of contention in the coming weeks

sadly if anyone drops out for the Cowboys, it will be us....
The Raiders have the softest draw of any side in contention..
Whilst they've shit the bed the last 2 home games against Manly & the Warriors in Typical Whacky Raiders style , they've shown some grit away from home too & should do enough to make the 8

Did the NRL Ladder Predictor picking 90% favourites with the default margin.

Tigers last on F/A. Have them beating Dragons in their clash though.

Don't take much from this. Raiders are so wacky they could end up 3rd or 8th.

Lock it in, I'm never wrong. I guarantee it*

1. North Queensland Cowboys - best coach in the league. I love what Payten has done and expect them to kick on even further
2. Wests Tigers - now look. stop laughing. bags of potential, great recruitment, great coach.
3. Canberra Raiders - best forward pack in the game. best 5/8th in the game. any less would be a failure
4. Cronulla Sharks - I like what Fitzy is doing here. will have a lot to prove.
5. Melbourne Storm - they just never seem to go away, do they?
6. Dolphins - the fairytale of 2023
7. Sydney Roosters - a good team on paper, but that can't hide a poor coach. can't see them threatening this year.
8. New Zealand Warriors - back home will be a much tougher prospect. can see them doing better than most expect

9. Penrith Panthers - Cleary's shortcomings as a coach will finally be exposed
10. Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles - is Seibold the answer? I don't think so. will disappoint again, with Turbo only playing 10 games
11. Brisbane Broncos - the coach has lost the dressing room. not looking good.
12. Parramatta Eels - the window has well and truly closed.
13. South Sydney Rabbitohs - not enough support around Latrell. he can't carry them all forever.
14. Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs - Ciraldo is not the messiah.
15. Gold Coast Titans - will be thanking their lucky stars the Dragons and Knights exist. awful coach somehow still has a job
16. St George Illawarra Dragons - too dysfunctional. something's gotta give.
17. Newcastle Knights - hopeless coach, hopeless team in a hopeless city

* Not a guarantee.
Looking back, there's a lot I got wrong and a lot I got right. So far anyway.

1 - if they started the way they're playing now, they would have been a chance. Still expect them to threaten
2 - Woof
3 - Equal 3rd as we speak, there or thereabouts
4 - Happy with that progress
5 - Pretty much spot on
6 - Could still happen, more likely they just miss out now though I think. Running out of steam
7 - They won't finish this high. Absolutely correct with the comment though
8 - Again, correct with the comment, but I expect them to finish higher than 8th now

9 - Yeah, well, a guy can dream
10 - So, so close. Turbo managed to play 11 games.
11 - Kevvie doing better than expected so far, but the jury is still out
12 - I still think they end up here
13 - Starting to show a few chinks in the armour. The injury bug is biting hard. Could still happen, unlikely though
14 - Spot on again
15 - Better than I expected, but they did sack their coach
16 - Spot on
17 - Comment is still correct, and they'll still be bottom 4

Bloody hell I'm good.

9 - Ivan can coach, if you can get the warriors into a GF, you can coach... if you can make luke brooks Dally M Halfback for the year, you can coach, if you can make 3 GF in a row possibly a 3peat this season, if not 4 GFs in a row.... you can coach, dont let the blinkers of hatred, dull your decision making..
I hated Bellamy for a very long time, now ive realised, he can coach.... tigers you got horribly wrong, but the rest are pretty good predictions

Of Skeepe’s myriad of delusions calling Wighton the best 5/8 in the game is definitely on the podium.

how the hell could the raiders finish 8th when they're on 28 pts already & play the Knights, Tigers & Bulldogs at home ?
the other 5 games are a bit/lot harder

but 34 pts is not going to have you in 8th
