It’s crazy to think a marginally late tackle that was otherwise not illegal gets the same penalty as breaking someone’s jaw 🤯

Would have been one game if he had a clean record and pleaded guilty- having 3 charges over the last 12 months had to carry some kind of consequence.

Maybe so, but how does Suaalii - which was a far worse tackle - get a grade 1 while Kaufusi’s gets a grade 2?

Kaufusi got there marginally late. Suaalii’s was a dog shot that he didn’t even start until the ball was gone.

The judiciary is as much of a lucky dip as the bunker.

was hardly marginally late, rarely agree with Johns but that was an absolute cheap shot. Pressure the halves by all means but there is NO need for in the back shots when the player is blindsided. Glad he’s suspended been a thug for ages.

would have been 1 week if he was a cleanskin. Suaali should have got the same charge too. They have to clamp down hard on these cheap shots you will drive halves out of the game.

I doubt I'm alone in having absolutely no understanding of what constitutes a Grade 1 or Grade 2. It seems to change from case to case.

The judiciary certainly don't have the foggiest...

Hughes defence hinged around a Hess tackle that was worse, that defence was thrown out because they got the Hess tackle wrong

The Hughes decision was unanimous according to Bellew with the Hess incident that was used by the defence counsel deemed "inappropriately graded".

imo Hughes deserved a suspension, Kafusi did not. The worst offence of the weekend was RCG’s but Im guessing he has no priors as it was just a fine

love to know how cheap shotting a half is not worth a suspension. How isn’t that worth a suspension and he was offered a week just that he’s a brainless thug and has priors he got 3-4
