He didn't overturn it. He told him it didn't look right. Which no one on the planet thought the bunker was tracking to make the correct decision.

Bearing in mind the ref ruled no try and bunker was going to overturn it with conclusive evidence the decision was correct.

And as everyone is saying, he is not allowed to interfere in the process.

Whether it was the right or wrong decision, it is playing with fire to start letting refs interfere in the decision making of the bunker.

The call was right but the whistleblowers would not want to get into the habit of making decisions that way. The video ref was about to make a howler so Im kind of okay with it in this instance. It would be a worry if it was a 50/50 type call though.

I dunno what the rules are. I watch a fair bit of union too and the on-field ref and the video ref talk all the time to make sure they get the decision right. I’m ok with it.
