We haven’t had a good old fashioned touch up at brookie in a while.

granted there is no reason to expect 2023 manly to give us one, but we seem to be going out of our way to play terribly this season. I mean ffs Manu got skinned by Croker last week, and he was hands down our best player on the field.

Historically, Brookvale is a proverbial graveyard for the Roosters. We've talken some pummelings there even when the team has been in form, which current we are not. I hold grave fears for Sunday.

Roosters won the last 3 at Brookie and 4 from the last 5.

In the Roosters history of playing Manly at Brookvale Oval, they have played 54 matches at the venue since Manly were admitted to the competition. Of those 54 matches, the Roosters have won 16 and lost 38. Out of all current NRL venues, it is my club's worst recoprd at any ground.

The thing about Roosters is they are so stuck in the game plan despite being decimated with injury and suspensions they expect the same outcome with constant changes in their squad.
They are brilliant with a full healthy squad but currently have no ability to adapt because it's not something they do naturally. Too formulated for their own good.

Manly fold when teams build on their possession but equally if they can hold the ball they can play some cracking footy, especially at home. Can see that happening today.

This could be another 70 point drubbing. The challenge is working out which team will be on the end of it.
