I genuinely cant believe your complementing his kicking game. watching the game back again i dont think any of his kicks touch grass. He didnt land any 40/20's and kicked it out on the full on a short drop out. I dont know how you can be bagging Illias out when he has never made that many kicking errors in a game. Cleary is allowed to miss tackles in the game because he single handedly won Penrith the game something that Reynolds would never be able to do. Reynolds defence isnt the sole reason he didnt play well just a contributing factor.

Billy Walters had already caught Penrith out in the first half by kicking early. The Penrith wingers werent dropping back until the 5th tackle. It was the only way Reynolds was going to find grass on his kicks. Brisbane were 100 percent gassed but thats because they were making errors all night and handing over possession.

I dont understand your logic. I dont want to be making the top 4... I want to be winning comps. The fact is is that weve been perrenial chokers for the past decade except for 2014. We shouldve won in 2021 and probably wouldve if we had a better halfback.

Reynolds is 33 years of age and is not getting better as a halfback. I honestly believe the last time i saw Reynolds really stand up in a game and take it over was 2018 against the Dragons in week 2 of the finals. Thats what i want from my halfback.

And if you dont respect my opinion then you can respect Cooper Cronks opinion because he has even come out and said he doesnt think Reynolds stands up in big games.

Hey mate I can remember a couple of long kicks which touched the grass and they were deep long kicks as well as some bombs that were well placed. Ilias doesn’t have that kind of long kick in his game we are yet to see it. Remember the game against Parra Indiegnous round where Lachy kicked out in general play on the full twice? He went backwards from there. There were times in games he wouldn’t kick for 40-50mins and Cody would take over. Lachy is good at those lollipop kind of kicks but they’re good for nothing. He also didn’t use his short kicking game muchyear before he had about 14 forced drop outs and the year just gone 3 drop outs forced only.

If we wanna be a top 4 team next year Lachy has to start managing a game he hasn’t done that yet and he’s 50 games in. It’s being left to Cody who isn’t and never will be a game manager and it’s taking away from Cody strengths in his game. I don’t blame Cody for approaching JD wanting Ilias to be dropped. He should’ve been dropped look how the Rorters dropped Sam Walker and how good he came back. What JD does with Ilias could define it he keeps his job or not. Two seasons and I’m yet to see anything that makes me confident he’s an our long term halfback. He can’t change on the fly either he’s so robotic what he does is tackle well but we need more than that from our halfback. If you wanna be winning comps mate you’d better hope we find a solution as we won’t be winning comps with Ilias.

2021 GF we were not favoruites we did well our wingers AJ and Paulo had shockers under the high ball and remember we had no Trell as well the whole finals series. And we also had several howlers from Atkins in the bunker. Reyno missed the goal but I can’t blame him for us losing.

Also in that 2020 Prelim we were down 5 important players yet Reyno played well he set up AJ as well for a great try off a cross field kick.

Also this season just gone we lost several games due to poor GK and a poor kicking game if we had Adam we’d have been much higher than 9th mate.

Cronk ah you’re funny mate that Rorter scum I can’t take seriously of course he’s gonna say that.

This award is the team's cultural award which is judged by the players on a weekly basis, based on a person’s dedication to the team environment, Club-first attitude, and engagement with stakeholders and community outside of the training and playing setting. This can also include football and non-football personal milestones, efforts to improve and better themselves as players and as people, as well as truly selfless acts on the field of play.

Definitely. That's scary. It's reported that he suffered a concussion in the Koori Knockout last week. Hopefully he can pull through for his family.

Along with Isaac Luke, he's a guy that I'll always think of as a premiership player. I don't care that they didn't play in the final, they both deserve that recognition from us.
