I think Lachie gets the first go at halfback and Dean comes in if Lachie doesnt perform. Otherwise i actually like the lineup i might swap Shaq and Keppie but thats about it.

Hawkins hasn’t been given a proper go at 7 so you can’t say he’s not up to first grade. Mamozelos as well hasn’t had much of a go but in his limited chances hasn’t disappointed.

I agree with you on Murray though.

I do I don’t see JD starting him on an edge at all.
Murray plays a ball distributor type game which he cant do in the 2nd row, duncan can play edge

I agree that Murray plays a crucial role as a ball distributor and thats exactly how Tallis is being groomed in reserve grade to play that same role. I do honestly believe though that Murray's full potential is kind of wasted at lock. He is an extremely good line runner and defender. We even saw for Australia that he was still getting quick PTB's at second row. I do think putting him at lock kind of wastes his potential where he just gets tired from making a million tackles and hit ups especially when we can put Jai Arrow there for the first 20 to take the sting out of the game and then have Tallis come onto the field.

Murray is a great lock but has the potential to be the best second rower in the game if used right.

Hey guys, sorry for my absence, was just having a break but I'm back and getting ready for 2024 now!

Rabbitohs extend contract of Jai Arrow until at least the end of 2027: https://www.rabbitohs.com.au/news/r...t-of-jai-arrow-until-at-least-the-end-of-2027

Yooohoooo!! Got the email notification on my phone and jumped for joy!!

Fantastic news and a fantastic retention for us. Not only is Jai one of the better forwards in the game, but he's also very quickly become a fan favourite in the three years he's spent with us so far. One of the cornerstones of our pack, is always one of the hardest working on the field and he's growing into a real leader at the club. Not to mention he'd be coming into his prime.

We really saw his true value in 2023 because he spent a decent amount of the Season out injured and jeez, he was missed. Certainly, has that presence now.

On top of all that, it's a good sign as to where the club is at and where it's headed. We've had all that drama this year and if it was that bad or the players didn't have faith in JD, someone of Jai's caliber isn't going to stick around so that's an awesome sign.

Well done Souths and well done Jaiza!!
