With Glebe beating Hills today it looks like theres only one spot in the top five remaining with two games to play.

Ryde have a bye in the last and have a great differential so are home and hosed.

Fifth placed Fiji two points ahead of Hills, with a home game against Wenty you'd think they will win, and then Marys.

Hills have Ryde and Brothers and would need to win both and hope they can close the 8 point gap on Silktails on for and against.

Big game for the premiers at TG Milner this coming Sunday.

The scoring input on the play rugby league site has pulled the wool over whoever is writing the Roosters match reports for their lower grade wrap.

Glebe were down 16-0 early in the game and fought their way back, scoring the winner with 3 minutes to go.

Here's how the Roosters have reported it, putting them up 22-0 in the first half

Glebe Dirty Reds

The Glebe Dirty Reds have moved up into second place on the Ron Massey Cup ladder following a 32-26 win over the Hills Bulls on Sunday afternoon at Wentworth Park.

The home side jumped out of the blocks with tries to Bilal Maarbani and Michael Coleman putting them up 10-0.

A quick double to fullback Harrison McKeon and two successful conversions from Devin Makoare-Boyce extended the Dirty Reds’ lead to 22 points.

The Bulls eventually found their first try through Sean Garner off the bench, pulling back four points.

Successive tries to Logan Aldridge and James Roberts brought the game back to eight points, with Glebe holding a 22-14 lead.

The Dirty Reds extended their points tally to 26 with a try to Noel Aukafolau, but a fast response from the Bulls saw Aldridge cross for his second to bring the game back to a converted try margin.

The sides traded blows in the dying exchanges, with McKeon securing a hat-trick for the Dirty Reds and Roberts finding his second of the afternoon for the Bulls as the game concluded with a 32-26 win to Glebe.

The only way that someone not at the game can get the true storey is to watch every update and record it try by try or just be lucky to have the games recorded by the guy that looks like Grizzly Adams, who puts in factual stuff.

In the case of Glebe, they have a Twitter account and usually tweet regular scores:

That is true but some weeks nothing has appeared. I was speaking more generally as some clubs only publish full time and half time scores on social media and others publish nothing.

The Roosters would be entitled to believe that the NSWRL systems were factual because their teams play in comps where that is the case, but I would have thought that a better approach would be to seek a report from Glebe management. I understand that one of the Glebe players actually works in the sports media!

Glebe post live scores on Twitter and full-time scores on Facebook every week. If only other clubs did the same. Should be compulsory at this level.

Clubs posting updates on social media would not be necessary if NSWRL had not chosen to purchase a dud system for these comps and then engaged only one person willing to calculate the correct times for scores.

Clubs like Ryde only usually post half time scores and full time scores - they focus more on engaging with followers tbh

In talks of Ryde, they seemed to have lost a few players any ideas of what’s been going on?

Between RM & SS no Tyler Seymour, Kirk Patton, Toni (Leighton) Tali, Curtis Wilson, Jamin Williams, Tristan Evans-Tsoi, Rory Curtis, Hayden Essery, Angus McElroy, Craig Garvey

Seems to be a lot of players have left from this year already? Haven’t been on team lists for a while now.

From what I understand of the PRL system, if a player is signed up the chain to a feeder club above they can become hidden on the system - as an example I believe Glebe has all their own players' profiles set to 'show', but if any Roosters Flegg players drop down to play RMC or Shield, they have no control over them.

Seems to be a lot of players have left from this year already? Haven’t been on team lists for a while now.

Craig Garvey did a serious arm injury in Round 2 but I thought he would have been back by now.
Kirk Patton has played 6 games in A Grade, including last week.
McElroy and Evans-Tsoi havent played at all this year.
Hayden Essery was the leading points scorer in SS after 7 rounds without his name ever appearing as he had clicked the "hide name" option, however, it appeared that the name issue was fixed when he appeared in the A Grade list mid week for the next game. Essery did not play that game and has not been seen since. It appears a strange decision to drop him to A Grade but that same round Langi Suli Ruka and Cody Kelso also played A Grade, which won that week but have only 1 other win this season and have forfeited 2 games.

In June, Ryde Eastwood advertised for players on facebook not only A Grade, U20's (lost every game) & U18's but also for SS. In the circumstances that was a gutsy win against Cabra on Saturday.
