If storm don’t score that try and lose, that knock on call gets forgotten pretty quickly

Klein apologised to Tedesco for missing the knock on

roosters had enough opportunity to win it
Wow, Klein apologising for a blatant knock on and denying the Roosters a golden attacking opportunity right on the line then giving Melbourne the piggy back penalty seconds later to score, seems a pretty hollow apology to me.
And oh i agree the Roosters had plenty of opportunities to win but the missing that blatant knock on set the tone for the game.

I like the way people are blaming Klein when in fact roosters throwing the ball into touch with 3 mins left on the second tackle in their own 20 is what really cost them the game. Imagine if we crucified players as much as we do the refs everytime they made a mistake!

You are kidding right. Klein missing that knock on wasn't a mistake the idiot was right there. How could you not blame him.

They defended that set

Regardless you are able to separate the things the roosters did and didn't do with Klein making an outrageous decision.

Roosters having a chance to win and Klein being incompetent can both be true at the same time.

Trouble is Klein seems to make mistakes week in week out no matter who he is reffing. As i did say the Roosters had plenty of opportunities to win the game but that blatant knock on set the tone for the game.

Throw in the undisputed number one referee in the game and it's set to be a real humdinger.

Will be fascinating to see which side he completely f***s over, meh probably both?

Yep. I don't think he blatantly or deliberately favours one side over another. He's just incompetent. How many games will he ruin before he's removed from the big games?

not a fan of Kleins but players trying to milk penalties has to be stopped too
Storm the worst at it now. Munster putting his hands up complaining every set. Grant staying down... flops everywhere trying to get 6 agains. Roosters players put their hands up and they still got pinged for 6 again towards the end of the game for a slight touch. You cant really play tough if other team flopping like a game of soccer for penalties. League isnt designed for that.

It is true.. that ball to touch was a high risk high reward play cos if we catch we run for the try. But kliens stuff ups were for the storm at the start of the game and roosters were getting buggered from defending. So when the square ups happen, theres not much sting in attack. League is a momentum game, yes you can still comeback but its harder. I know i prefer the stuff ups to go my way first to take advantage of fatigue and play from in front as it changes the way you play

Th reffing was so bad it it was looking rigged. The first try came off a penalty and i thought on first watch it was a "ball plant" - didnt even know it was a thing until last week when walsh got called for it against storm yet this week it is penalty to storm. Also teddy had to risk a challenge 10 mins in too for a missed knock on which went storm way. Only reason why i think it wasnt rigged and more incompetence was klein held firm on walkers high shot to storm (but maybe he knew he could blame video ref for it as he allowed grant to have a whine and a whole conversation about tackle) which would have been game there instead of a high leaping 1v1 try which was the more dramatic ending.
