Reg is barred from Origin while ever Freddy is coach.

Klemmer copped the same treatment because he whined and carried on about being left out on the 17 in the decider against QLD back in 2019.

He got a recall because Sims got suspended but Freddy wasn't impressed Klem dropped his bottom lip at training and moped around camp so hasn't been picked again. Which is fair enough.

But Reg greatest crime is falling out with the Clearys.

Don’t forget Reg toured with the Kangaroos and all seemed well with half the Penrith Squad in that team too.

I reckon RCG and at least one of Lane/Matto would have been there if not for injuries

I'm not confident in this NSW side at all.
Potentially they can definitely win, but looking at the two sides QLD should be heavy favourites. Some of these selections are baffling, TBH (TPJ being the most baffling).

In saying that, reading back a few pages there are people wondering why Latrell gets picked in the centres when he's a fullback. I think he's a better centre than he is a fullback. He played in that position for many years including at Origin level, and dominated. He gets lazy at fullback which is a position you need to be alert at all times, whereas in the centres he can switch off a bit unless the ball comes his way.

Brailey added to squad as Fittler makes Game One 'gamble'

Rabbitohs centre Campbell Graham has withdrawn from the New South Wales squad due to a sternum injury, with Stephen Crichton joining the extended group ahead of the series opener.

I'm not confident in this NSW side at all.

I dont think he's put a foot wrong there at NSW and Australia. I think its great having him back as last year the centres for NSW didnt look threatening. Plus it'll be interesting to see who marks him for QLD. The Maroons were probably tempted to pick Gagai but maybe felt Mitchell would get around him easy.

RCG and Matterson both in. Lane if hadn't missed start of year and his recent injury also in.

I think Tupou is injured, not that was the reason for his non-selection, but it gave Freddy a way to save face and bring Ado-Carr back in.

The thing we do have but is Nathan Cleary, Turbo,Teddy,Hass and Latrell.
You could argue they are the best 5 players in the game when firing.
