I watched that in the titanium bar on the Gold Coast. Place was bursting at the seams. Great game and a huge atmosphere. Cold beer. Great memories.

Panthers are one of the smallest clubs historically and the storm never had any chance in this game. It’ll be interesting to see if people tune back in for the final which should hopefully be a contest.

The good thing is that this year has been possibly the best ever in terms of crowds and ratings so let’s hope we continue that next year and some of the other teams can be a little more competitive.

It wasn’t worth watching unless you really hate the storm or love the panthers. The result was never in doubt at any point.

main channels in Sydney and Brisbane (97,000, no QLD team playing) for the AFL, and in Melbourne for the Storm.

It wouldn't surprise me if a decent chunk of people watched the AFL and then flicked over. The Channel 9 NRL pre-game waffle is borderline torture. The NRL and 9 were stupid for not kicking off at 6:50pm.

Seemed like Carlton were trying to come back a bit but there were a lot of piss poor attempts at goal. On a side note: what is the actual Gabba capacity for AFL? Seems like the Lions can't do much more than 36,000.
