yea
the NRL was only shown into NSW/ACT & QLD yesterday afternoon & still would have cracked a mill
well over 500K for the later game
meaning roughly estimated that was the highest rating round of the year to date at around 6.4 mill

And the fumblers biggest annual club game of the year , whilst rating very well yesteday ,did little to stem the absolute hiding the aflol is getting from the NRL in 2023
It was shown live here in Tasmania so it must have also been shown in all other states.

Yeah no idea, Either they were too low to register or Oztam have done something weird.
I've seen them report as low as 1000 , & while Im sure they wouldn't have been anything to write home about they'd of done better then that .. so Oztam doing something weird would be it..
probs 30K or something all up for the 3 cities

more importantly , it'll push the ratings past 1 mill for yesterdays NRL afternoon game & add another to the growing tally of 7 figure games for the NRL this year

f**king huge ratings for the round and 2023 continues to blow away all expectations. Hard to compete with the Melbourne ANZAC day game, the total numbers of Victorians watching is f**king staggering.

Hopefully we can keep building our version up to reach higher heights.

6.580m aggregate viewers for the round without NZ Sky.

That is a bloody huge round of footy.

Only half the audience known for the Storm/Warriors game, massive number for Pay Tv involving the Warriors.

Would love to know how many watched on NZ Sky in NZ..

As reported earlier, the last known figures out of Sky NZ for Rugby League were in 2015 and showed that the Australia/ New Zealand Test match recorded 270k viewers and the Warriors averaged 91k for their games. So, I`d expect the figure for the ANZAC Warriors/Storm game to be somewhere between those two.
On Kiwi Sky viewing figures for the whole year, it was reported that an average 31k watched non-Warriors club round games.
Now assuming (conservatively) that latter figure eight years later is around 40k for seven games a week and the Warrior`s games record 100k, that makes about 400k per round or 10 million for the season, not counting finals, women`s comp, Origin and other representative matches. Could add close to 12 - 15 million all up I`d reckon.

So we`re going to get a Saturday-night FTA women`s game every week.

"But the upside is the introduction of free-to-air prime time matches each Saturday night, as well as wall-to-wall rugby league coverage each Sunday afternoon on the Nine Network."

Brilliant, can`t wait.

Timing of the comp is key, You don't want to take viewers away from Mens comp. Hopefully they run it in Oct/Nov to give it free air

There's a whole lot of optimism swirling around now in our game. We are more confident of our " product" because it's showing itself week after week to be the entertaining sport we know it can be.
The ratings firstly are attributed to the fine athletes in our game, who have adapted to the new speeding up & get rid of pendantics that were used by refs ,and the bunker being told at times to STFU, the addition of the Dolphins, new stadiums and people coming out of the woodwork to attend and watch on the idiot box.
All in all a code worth going to Las Vegas and showing what its made of.
