Very good ratings but somewhat impacted by the score line methinks
Almost certainly
1.150 mill at a guess I'd say for the Suncorp game
around 450K for the earlier one.

the gatherers got a knobbing again tho (1.050 Mill)
but
thats not news to anyone lol

Yeah it was hard to watch the Brisbane game. If it had been closer it would have held its viewership. With thirty to go it became a bit uninteresting. That’s how it goes

Just notes on VOZ here.

We know that Kayo isnt working with it yet. Although they say Foxtel is.

This is likely to be favourable to the AFL. We learnt last year that VOZ included Tasmania and WA regionals that were not previously included in consolidated totals - you can see this in Origin ratings releases over last season, we had to keep updating lol. Given these areas favour the AFL, there will be likely be some small impact there. Its worth noting that VOZ gave an extra 100k over the preliminary overnights to Sevens AFL coverage yesterday.

The other factor here is the elimination of previously duplicated areas - this is specifically noted in VOZ press releases - which likely means that the double counting of areas around the Gold Coast will be a thing of the past. As this is a primarily NRL territory, there will likely be a minor impact felt there. Its also worth noting that VOZ reported 6,000 fewer viewers for Sunday NRL than oztam preliminary ratings.

That’s a big part of why ratings are so high this year, a close competitive comp is good for ratings. Nice change from the blowouts that had become all too regular with the six again rule.

Agreed. I got home in time to watch the broncos game and found myself focusing more on the punt than the game as time moves on. Others would have just changed channels.

Absolute bloodbath last night for the NRL vs racist ball

Jesus there are a whole bunch of Australians who need to get a life if the best thing on was to watch some old English bloke wear some fancy jewellery.

Btw not a commentary on whether or not we should have a monarchy or not but surely a coronation isn’t that interesting

Also, absolute bloodbath on the ratings

Frightening ratings for the coronation. Over 1.8 million in metro markets on a Saturday night. Unheard of in recent times.

I honestly don't get it with the Royal family. I don't know why people are fascinated by them.
