Way too many watching fumbleball in Brisbane last night. We have to watch that city, I don`t like the numbers that silly game is getting and I don`t care how many are ex-pats.
Still nowhere near the numbers watching Origin this year in Perth.

Generate strong ratings for a future WA NRL team and you won't be looking over your shoulder so much at the Fumble in QLD.

Hmm it’s definitely interesting. I agree generally (another side might be beneficial there in time) but I think it ebbs and flows a little.

For example, the Lions played last night against a really average NRL game (to be fair). That brings the ratings back a little. Another thing are the Lions going well? If they are going well, it might also push their ratings up.

Look generally though I think FTA ratings can be a little misleading; particularly on individual games. Like for instance, more people in Brisbane watched that fumbleball game on FTA than in Perth but nobody in their right mind would argue that fumbleball is more popular in Brisbane than in Perth, nor would anyone say that only 10k or 5k in the whole of Melbourne or Perth watched the league last night.

Queensland team on the main channel in Brisbane v a Queensland v Victorian team on a secondary channel in Perth.
