all of these will have people in pubs not counted

advertisers want to know which one gets the most viewers so the sampling works to compare the sports even if it underestimates the number it does it for all the sports

its not going to be 100% accurate and it is not required to be. Its is however, highly indicative. Suggesting they inflate it requires a citation though.

This Nielson is a waste of time.
That's why I said before the smart TVs we have should determine who's watching what.
Last night we were sitting amongst close to 500 people,and were watching Nine with commercials during trys and half time, so advertisers should know that in many venues people are seeing their adds. Anyway what do I know im a idiot.

It's interesting how the men's series is over but will still play a third game, while in the women, it ended 1-1, but no third game to be played.

It makes so sense doesn't it......

Women`s Origin 1 was such a poor quality game, (and I mean women`s fumbleball quality bad) I think a lot of people would have been sceptical about the what the quality of game 2 would be like. This may have deterred some viewers.
Keep up the quality of last night`s game and the viewers will return and grow.
Interesting side note; very strong viewer numbers coming out of W.A. for both the men`s and women`s game. Makes me wonder if the Perth bid is making West Australians take a bit more notice of this sport they might be hosting soon.

Agreed. Origin 1 was poorly planned. Players had only had two or three club games and no NRLW games to warm up with. Series should be played during the nrlw season. Three games.

If NRLW becomes a strong, watchable comp, then down the track, the season could kick off the same week of game 1 men's origin. After men's origin series, you could schedule womens origin, whilst NRL is played at the same time.

And of course, NRLW grand final could have its own stand alone day either in late October or November. One day, we could have rugby league content for most of the year.
