Looks like dogs will sack JAC

IMO this makes it almost impossible for the Broncos to not sack Ezra as he did the exact same thing but with a worse outcome.

He should absolutely be sacked. Both of them for that matter.

It’s not that hard to enjoy a vice or two in private without making a complete arse of yourself.

ezra is still young, even if he sits out a year or so, he can come back but Id bet my last dollar he comes back a much better person.

Genuine question, at what point do clubs get held accountable for the actions of their players? Players get sacked, fined and stood down but I’d be fining the clubs for not controlling their players/employees.

Every sport, every year have incidents resulting from poor behaviour and decision making but f**k me the sport has some dumb f**kers

Slow down we're not in North Korea mate.

If your employer isn't liable for things you do in your spare time, why should a football club?

I think its more 50-50 than a sure bet at best.

To start with they organised a car for him. If he was unlicensed when they got him the car then they are very liable.

I was about to mentioned the car allocation.

The NRL clubs fall under the regulatory body, being the NRL, failure to adhere to standards and expectations that bring the game into disrepute or affect the image of the game, makes the clubs liable to a degree.

It’s why they have the integrity commission and now this independant review panel. The NRL can carry out their own review and make a determination that is in the best interest of the game, we’ve seen this occur previously. I assume clubs receive grant money, funds from the NRL and corporate clients aligned with the game, if they can’t control their players, then why can’t they penalise the clubs?

I suppose the argument would be that when your image is part of your club and games brand then you’re never off duty. Fair or not that comes with the territory and the generous renumeration.

Could see Ezra Mam is a can or 2 short of a 6 pack. A grown man crying in the change room over someone calling him a name is just bizarre.

Obviously he has mental health issues. Let's hope he gets his shit together.

So breaking a 4 year olds hip while on the bags is 3 times worse than calling a grown man a name? Sounds legit.

It will be interesting to see what they actually go with.
