To have any relevance you'd have to know how much of the LC revenue actually found its way to tthe running of the FC. It's no more relevant than what Souths directors wealth is to the functioning of South Sydney or what News Ltd revenue is to the Brisbane Broncos.
Well in regards for my team, I disagree for a multitude of reasons as you're not comparing apples with apples.
Cowboys leagues was funded and set up by the Cowboys RL club in 1995 and then when it had enough money in the coffers after the move to the city site, bought the RL club off News Limited in 2007 to then become a fully community owned club. It's not owned by News/shareholders or Wests Newcastle leagues club which are completely seperate entities to the Broncos and Knights RL teams.
This is literally on the NQ LC website
"The Cowboys Leagues Club was originally founded to coincide with the introduction of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Rugby League Football Club to provide a social home for team supporters to promote, foster, fund and encourage aims and objectives of the Cowboys Rugby League Football Club."
The annual report combines all moneys in and out from both entities as well as combining the profit of both entities ($9.5m between both in 2024)
