I see some new idiot is gloating about crowds for Soccer internationals and tours in Australia on another thread and just thinking will Sydney SOO sell out as some times a bit hit and miss.
C'mon Eggface. Don't be like that. Surely the SOO sells out. It's had 6 months and after all it's the pinnacle of Rugby League and the Women's International is a friendly that sold out in 4 days

The Matildas are doing fantastically. And it's great to see the Womens State of Origin also grow along with it.

You can't really compare the two events though. For example the same bay for the womens is $50 and the State of Origin is $200.

Some favourable results have set Round 14 up nicely for some big crowds if the weather stays good.

Broncos v Sharks is trending towards 40K, whilst Bulldogs v Eels is selling strongly and should comfortably surpass 30K and may challenge the Broncos for biggest crowd this round.

Panthers v Sea Eagles is on track for a sell out, whilst Storm v Knights is selling better than expected and trending towards 18K+.

Cowboys v Warriors is also trending for 18K+.

Unfortunately I think Dragons v Wests Tigers will struggle with the combination of predicted bad weather & long weekend traffic hurting what would have been decently attended in any of the other timeslots this round.

Titans v Rabbitohs, I have NFI how that is selling. I imagine it will at least get 13K, as the Titans faithful have been very loyal this year & the team is actually playing better football, but no idea if it is trending better than that.

This is a lie.

Tickets were $35 - $100 for adults:

I'm happy for all sports in Australia to succeed. Hell, I'll be going to table tennis at Brisbane 2032. Just stick to the truth moite.

seriously, who does this? Bunch of muppets.
Either always sell at the rate you are going to offer specials at...and move more tickets, or;
keep the rates high and deal with empty seat.

This reduced-price business is short-term gain, long-term pain, amateur hour marketing that ticks off those who paid full price and are less likely to book early next time. Where's the reward?
