What were the options 4 months ago when the draw was being conceived?

I never suggested to change a single game midweek due to unforeseen circumstances.

What I'm saying is if the dolphins had of decided to play every game at suncorp then there would have been no conflict with a pink concert because the schedule would have been made to suit.

Get it now?
...another pointless hypothetical.

The Dolphins have - rightly - committed to playing a handful of their games at their home base of Kayo. Keeping that connection just for a couple of games is good IMO. Didn't they up their quota at Suncorp by one by doing away with Sunshine Coast?

It's not pointless and not a hypothetical, the draw is worked out with even more obstacles and issues comp wide every year.

The whole point is it is not right to play 3 games at a 10k stadium, especially in brisbane.

The only reason they are not playing on the sunshine coast is because the council didn't pay for it.

Well ahead of schedule however Broncos vs Cowboys on good Friday has about 300 seats left in the diamond category, and then maybe another 250 single seats. There will be a few held back for memberships that will be released throughout the weeks.

Broncos vs Dolphins on 12 April is selling very well too. Maybe 3-4k seats left in level 7.

Such is the demand that restricted view were released at full price for both games.
Broncos need a bigger home ground

70k for club games will be amazing

How is a10k stadium the second best option in Brisbane? The home of rugby league? Home to the 2 biggest rugby league clubs in the world?

They’d have been better off giving the Gabba a go if Suncorp was unavailable, at least you’d get more than 10k through the doors.

The seating map for Allianz Stadium is a bit of a nightmare to work out crowd estimates at the moment.

There's still plenty of seats left on levels 2 and 4. Based on my current read, I still think we will do well to have a crowd in the low 30s unless there is some significant movement in ticket sales early this week.

I'm waiting for two friends to confirm if they're in or out and will be able to provide a pax update hopefully tonight.

Wasnt Dolphins game announced as a sell out? Why the big chunks of empty seats?
It was only 40 under the record. Not a big record. Members not showing up etc. I don’t think you could say there were chunks of empty seats but people do tend to move around a bit for a different view/food/drinks. Personally like you I think it should be used for pre season only maybe 1 match a year. Be good if they could use that money and reinvest in a bigger stadium but that’s probably a pipe dream.

Instead of wasting $3bn on a new oval stadium, The govt has the option to build a 30k seater to give more options as it stands now, Kayo is the 2nd best rectangle field in the city

They have the same problem as the Shark Park conundrum, whilst they own it is unlikely to get too much funding. As far as a 20-30k ‘second stadium’ goes, Roar & Reds who would be the main tenants and the government would likely prefer somewhere more central, Perry Park gets mentioned a lot and looks a decent proposal on paper.

Sharks could play at Allianz, They choose not too.

If Suncorp is unavailable or deemed to risky to make money off there is no other option in Brisbane

They’re now spending $500m on the Dolphins main home stadium by the looks, asking for more to develop the small stadium they own would be unlikely to get any interest. The government would also know that if they developed Redcliffe they’d likely lose more games from the second highest drawing tenant at Suncorp.
