GA North has officially sold out at Commbank Stadium. Premium is sold out, Platinum is down to single seats, other sideline bays in the lower bowl are also down to single seats and strong sales in the upper section.

Surely has to equal the crowd that last year's match up got (21,296).
So the six Sydney games will attract about 120,000 fans this weekend? Code in crisis

Good crowd. I think up to 24,000 in the house.

Not as many as some may have thought, but Parramatta's home games are stacked at the start of the year (Bulldogs R1, Sea Eagles R3, Tigers for Easter Monday R4), with the average punter probably hedging their bets for opening round or Easter long weekend.

Here's a good stat:

In the first three rounds of the 2022 NRL Season, there were 11 games in Sydney, and none of them had a crowd of over 20,000.

In the first three rounds of the 2023 NRL Season, there were 13 games in Sydney, and one of them had a crowd of over 20,000 (36,639 for Roosters vs Rabbitohs at Allianz).

In the first three rounds of the 2024 NRL Season, there have been 10 games in Sydney, and five of them (assuming Parramatta's 20,000+ crowd is confirmed this afternoon) have had a crowd of over 20,000.

Add to that the Sharks and Manly games were under 20000 but sellouts I think

No, it shows the amount of supporters the Dogs take to games even when we are shit!! Commbank was stacked with Bulldog supporters 2 weeks ago.

It's great to see incremental improvements across a number of fronts. On a round by round basis, its nice that we've been able to see growth overall whilst also pushing guaranteed blockbusters, like Broncos v Cowboys, further back in the season.

2023 v 2024:
Rnd 1: 18,472 / 22,944
Rnd 2: 17,753 / 19,392
Rnd 3: 19,943 / 19,000+

Do you think any of those games pull higher at 'normal' grounds?
What the anti-suburban ground people will ignore. Simple explanation is teams that are playing shit pull shit crowds. Outside of Cronulla yesterday saw 5 of last years bottom 7 playing, including the bottom 3 all at home. The crowds were never going to be that crash hot irrespective of where the games were.

It really is that simple, GC and NQ in particular draw poorly in Sydney. Do you put 12k in an 83k seater or in a 17k Suburban Stadium?

WT games at Parra draw poorly and Sharks fans have to travel further

It's unfortunately not uncommon for the Titans to start a season with weak crowds and then for attendances to build as the season grows. I'm not sure why this happens, maybe the locals aren't thinking about football in March?

2023: Opening Crowds: 14,483 & 12,452 | Average: 19,536
2022: Opening Crowds: 13,481, 8,774 | Average: 15,184
2019: Opening Crowds: 9,843, 8,680 | Average: 11,587
2018: Opening Crowds: 10,238, 12,713 | Average: 12,807
2017: Opening Crowds: 13,933, 11,612 | Average: 13,688

Anyway, if the Titans put on a decent performance today, it will help move some tickets next week.
Oh dear.
