I was honestly expecting low 30’s.

You’re a fail. And if you bother to read the thread this is exactly what was expected. Is this a pass?

Was in Melbourne for the Easter long weekend. Definitely more NRL presence with warriors game on big screen next to crown and most pubs / restaurants having at least one screen showing NRL (admittedly the smallest screen with rest showing AFL).
It is becoming like AFL in Sydney which is a good outcome for the Storm.
30k? Cool your jets. The Broncos rarely draw 30k plus against the tigers. Is this a pass?

The weather in SEQ has been pretty terrible, places have been flooding, there had been lots of rain leading up to the event & pretty much predictions yesterday that it was going to storm again (which it has overnight). Was it wet in Brisbane or are the crowds dropping for dolphins?
Based upon the lead up, it was a pass. Falling below 20K was a realistic outcome based upon the conditions & lead up sales, so to get over 22K is definitely a pass.Is this a pass?

Broncos crowds have been on a tear post Covid, but let's not forget that as recently as 2019 we'd see crowds like 24k for Tigers and 22k for Penrith. Is this a pass?

Any crowd over 20k against the tigers is a great outcome. The media has degraded them for years, hardly builds any interest - particularly in QLD
I am just a little nervous about them becoming another titans (Strong initial support that fades).Broncos crowds have been on a tear post Covid, but let's not forget that as recently as 2019 we'd see crowds like 24k for Tigers and 22k for Penrith.
Dolphins are fine, they have some big drawing games up their sleeve including the second leg of the Brisbane derby and they are playing some good footy which will help.

I want them to do damage to the AFL team up there. They should be getting 5k more than them soon and more than that eventually.
That's why fans calling for the Tigers to relocate to QLD are30k? Cool your jets. The Broncos rarely draw 30k plus against the tigers.

Sunshine state Dolphins. They need to call themselves the Brisbane Dolphins. FFS it isn’t hard. Redcliffe is a whole lot of nothin.
Well, better stadium with double the population will do that. That is going to be the case with any new club, Dolphins look to be stronger long term than Titans. Both on field and off
They'll be a strong club mate. Brisbane is a much more passionate RL market than the Gold Coast and thr Dolphins are steeped in history up hereI am just a little nervous about them becoming another titans (Strong initial support that fades).

The only thing that can be expected is that the sharks will never draw higher than 14k at shark park. You’re a fail. And if you bother to read the thread this is exactly what was expected.

The Gold Coast is different to most places to in that not a lot of that population aren’t born and bred there. People move to the Gold Coast..
If the Gold Coast can build success though, they can be a real powerhouse on an off the pitch in a different way to every other club. It could be adopted by the rich and famous..the glitz and glamour.. they just need to kick it off with some success first.
