Eels and dogs are two of the biggest Sydney clubs

tigers and Souths are the only others who can really get those kinds of crowds

As far as Im aware, its the highest Sydney NRL crowd (outside of finals) in over a decade - since Eels/Tigers drew 50,668 at Accor in 2014 (Easter Monday)

I think overall the dogs have the biggest supporter base when it comes to attending games.
They always have a big portion of the crowd when playing the other big sydney clubs.

Would be great if the eels took the easter monday game back to homebush, we need to capitalise and build more of these types of event games between the big sydney clubs on public holidays.
They could keep the same amount of games at parra as i think the darwin deal ran out this year? Alternate hosting rights between easter and kings bday.

More events like this with reciprocal member entry could get at least 10 games every year at accor with a big crowd and help the push for a proper rectangular redevelopment in the near future.

^^^ further to this, how the schedule could play out:

Dogs v eels x2 @homebush
Dogs v tigers x2 @homebush, find a public holiday or even holiday eve to play 1 fixture each year
Dogs v rabbits x2 already set up
Eels v tigers @ homebush easter game, 2 games when eels host easter, in time could be both games at accor when big enough
Rabbits v eels @ homebush with reciprocal rights for indigenous round, started already but needs to build
Rabbits v tigers x2 @ homebush, find a public holiday or regular slot and build from there

With reciprocal rights and at least 1 return fixture on a public holiday we can build these games up and make them all an event and something people want to attend regularly.

Eels don’t need to play at Homebush. They have Commbank. It was a great day for rugby league but 5 minutes ago everyone was saying Accor should only be used for grand finals.

Everyone also says that accor should be turned into a proper rectangular stadium but don't think one of the biggest sydney teams should take 1 or 2 games there that they don't currently play at commbank.

Best way to convince the government they will get a return on investment is by showing them they can have at least 10 big club games every year plus origin and finals.

NRL crowds are on the upswing. Smart clubs are going to find ways to capitalise on that. Unfortunately Accor is the only stadium of meaningful size in Sydney.
