Lol at this argument.....It is like trying to get OJ Simpson off for murder because Nicole Simpson should not have been home.

Not sure where you think I'm arguing for Flanagan to get let off considering my first post referred to Flanagan getting 3-4 weeks, and guess what he got.

Crichton should have gotten charged and suspended as well given it was foul play by him that started it.

Give Flanagan 3-4 weeks, but what was the grub Crichton trying to do in the first place driving his head into Flanagan's face?

"The club is disappointed with the outcome and we believe we presented a strong case," said Dragons CEO Ryan Webb.

"We know that Kyle, being the person that he is, will do everything he can to help support the club and his teammates through the next four weeks as we strive for a top-eight finish.

This is objectively absurd. What are you charging Crichton with? Grade 1 being a pest?

Yes, his actions in part led to what Flanagan did, but nothing he did appears on the charge sheet unless you want to make shit up.

Sounds like people are obsessed with this false idea of balance. Flanno shouldn't have bit down, that's the long and the short of it. Players get in each other's faces all game every game and don't bite...

As usual with the NRL they need to go to extremes.

Why can't we just say, yes it was a bite but also yes crighton contributed to the situation.

Give him 2 weeks and be done with it.
On what planet is this extreme?

The four previous biting charges were given 3, 4, 12 and 8 weeks respectively. This verdict and sentence is by no means extreme.

This planet

They said if it's accidental he is not guilty so therefore they have found he intentionally did it.

I don't think he intentionally went to bite him

Is he retiring?

But...but...but...

that paragon of journalistic excellence Dunny Widdler says that just because Crichton was using his head as a weapon is no defence AND that there is no way Crichton should be charged because "everybody does it, they are coached to do that'.

Personally, "everybody does it" doesn't make it right and maybe now is the opportunity for the NRL to rub it out of the game. More importantly, if that ginger shitweasel thinks it's wrong, every right thinking rugby league fan should be standing square in support of it.

How about dangerous contact or contrary conduct?

Contrary conduct has been used for

Racism - Leniu
Fighting - various players in SOO
Contact with the ref - Kennedy, Suli, Wong, Hughes x2
Hair pull - Molo, Brown, Matterson, Lawrie
Being 3rd man in - Latrell, Mahoney
Hurting the refs feelings - Klemmer
Being a grub - Mahoney
Being held onto by a grub - Hetherington

I'm not sure why you think driving your head into someone's face wouldn't be covered when all of those are.
