Time to pick, merkins.

Melbin by 6.

As sad as it is for me to say, it's Melbourne by anything.
They don't have arseholes like Smith and Slater anymore who were more referees than the referees, which is why I hated them previously.
They still have some turds, but I've grown to like how they can turn nobodies into superstars. I just wish we could achieve what they do on a consistent basis.
I'm also bored with Penrith winning every year.
I won't be cheering anyone tonight. Just watching what I think will be the best GF for years between the two best teams by a mile.

To be honest it's been quite the annus horribilis for us Parra supporters. But, both the Storm and Panthers have had their shit together come the 2024 GF.
On the Panthers side one can only marvel at how they have made five Grand finals in a row thus far and counting. They have quite the Dragons glory years feel about them. On the Storm side they have consistently been up there over a long period of time, and kudos to them.
I'm expecting a drag them out, spiteful type of game. I had hoped that Nelson had been part of the party but so be it. I'm still going with Melbin but with no great confidence.

The GF still hasn't been announced as sold out.
A sad indictment on Panthers fans primarily.
The Eels could win 10 in a row and it would easily sell out every year.
Are Panthers fans becoming complacent with their ongoing success?

Think it will be close to a sell out, looks like expensive tix left and single seats ($199) in a couple of bays

33k only in their prelim v sharks last week at the same venue, is a bigger eye opener for me, from both sides,

I think the true impact Penrith have had in this period when it comes to fans will be noticed in 20-30 years like us.

The generation of fans they have won over will filter through the family generations.

A bit similar to us.

I don't think they will ever reach us but I do feel Penrith have the potential to eventually become a big Sydney club like us, Dogs and Souths.

Geographically as well Penrith is growing

For me...

- A organization (Bellamy) that had brought in the wrestle filth, that ruined the ruck, the game for a decade plus
eg tore our captains pec in the 2017 prelim (one of hundreds of examples of injuries caused)
- An organisation that systematically cheated the cap for years and cost us a premiership, maybe two ?
- An organisation that openly and joyfully still celebrates those cheated premierships, its sickening

F..k the pricks

Ruff by 20, hopefully 50

I reckon there’s just as many Eels fans in the Penrith area and even more in the Blacktown area compared to Panthers.
