Can't see the Knights being in any way competitive here.

Penrith by as many as they want.

We'll put up more of a fight than Dragons did but that's not saying much.

I'll predict a closer game.

Knights off a bye, Ponga on board back, a few players who are playing for contracts and they are on death row in 2024 and must perform.

The Knights have a relatively soft finish to the season. This is their biggest test of the lot so if they don't play competitive football in this game then AOB should immediately get the sack.

Everything points to a big win by Panthers. But probably be close for 75% of the game with Penrith getting a few late tries after Knights are worn down.

Im just hoping we get to see Iongi debut in a fairly strong Panthers team. Only be missing Fish, Garner, Edwards, Laurie and Alamoti. With Edwards and Laurie being in his position so really only from his perspective missing Fish, Garner and Alamoti.

Most of our debutants come in to Origin depleted sides and its hard to judge them.

It would be very on brand for us to aim up and make a game of this only to fall apart and get hammered by the Tigers at home the week after.

Rev up the 50+ thread. We've checked out for the year, drama behind the scenes, etc. Panthers by as many as they can be arsed to score.

Cleary hasn't missed a beat. Cleared any cobwebs out last game. Panthers to toy with their prey and win comfortably. Fiddly up would not surprise me.

Tbh I’d be more surprised if it doesn’t reach 50.

Like someone mentioned upthread, the Knights have checked out for the year. The club has clearly prioritised cleaning out some overpaid deadwood over competing for finals. We haven’t had 50 on us this year but it’s been building.

Hope so, and not because I dislike Newcastle, but because I hate Parramatta.
