In terms of the development jigsaw, I think this is the change from last year:

Promoted into the Top 30 from the 2023 Dev Squad:
o RCouchman, SFinau, AlecTui, Tamale

New Dev Players for 2024:
o Ackers, Stewart, Egan

Not Offered a 2024 Contract:
o Lui-Toso, Fuimaono, Moga

Contracted players we hope get picked up elsewhere but we may get stuck with:
o Turner, BMM, Max Feagai, Musgrove (signed)

The one's I think we are still waiting on news about:
o Herring, Stewart, Burns, Mulheisen

The odd one out is Jackson Shereb, a 2023 Dev player who seems to be still a 2024 dev player despite all the other young 2nd rowers pushing.. it might have been an existing 2yr 2023+2024 Development contract.

NickT is the other confusing one, I thought we had him locked up until 2025, meaning he must have a dev contract not a train and trial (which is uncontracted right)?

Oh and Ben Rumble the other i thought we had signed.. dont recall where we discussed that, but I had a feeling we were expecting him to start in Cup next year.
Nick T is contracted till the end of 2025

In regard to Tsougranis, he has a train and trial contract next year and a development contract for 25.

Looking like we're going to have to sign another half when you look at our list. If Hunt's on origin duty and Amone or Flanagan are injured, who do we put in the halves. It's not unlikely that we end up with an Amone/Bird halves combo at some stage next year if our current halves depth stays the same. Our supp players are all forwards, and the train and trial players you wouldn't think many are going to play first grade this year. it will be interesting to see what clubs do with the option of using the T&T's this year. Kade Reed looks the goods but at this stage I don't think would be at all ready, don't know if he's even played SG Ball yet. King-Togia is reportedly a very good player, but is he ready yet either? It seems unless we sign another half there's a chance these kids could get thrust into NRL before they're ready which could be harmful to their development

I'm assuming Sullivan's pay packet must have been too much for a backup half
Mistake in my mind , because as I have said many time Benny boy will go , just read somewhere he said he wants to go ....... PISS HIM OFF ........ How can he play for us if we are not his first choice ...........
“I’ve kind of not thought about it, but any team (in Queensland) is definitely an option,” Hunt said on Triple M.

“Whether the Titans can fit you in is another thing.

“The Titans have thrown a bit of money around lately, so I don’t know whether that can even happen.”

Hunt went on to say that playing for the Dragons is “not my first choice”, and even admitted retirement was an option, but for now, he is resigned to the fact he’ll be at the Red V for next season.

“It (retirement) definitely pops into your head,” Hunt said.

“It’s an option considering I’m at the back end of my career, it’s not far away, but once you retire you are done and I’m not ready to retire yet.

Perhaps... but

we haven't done much with the savings
in a year he probably wouldn't be the backup anymore
the Hunt situation hasn't exactly settled down so he might've been a starter well before that

He should never have been the “back up”. I trust Flanno but why on earth he’d keep Amone and flick Sullivan is beyond me. Should have been the other way around.
Son ring a bell .....,.,... Look he may turn out to be ok ....... If it was me Id rather Sully ..........

Injury prone, hamstring issues and defence perhaps = Value for $$$ spent.
Yes he seemed quicker between the ears and in attack than Amone..but above overrules
Thats my best guess

He comes across as a dithering old fool and making it look like he doesn't know what he is doing and what he is wanting and is acting as if he is confused. He shows in his body language and how he is saying things that he is still resentful that the Dragons didn't grant him his wish to release him months ago. He should have been let go when Hook was told he was not wanted.

This continuing media coverage is doing us so much damage. Just so much. The players around him would be wondering what he will end up doing and if he will go and that surely would be unsettling if he is around next year still carrying on the way he has been.

The media is loving this and they will be baiting as much as possible to get the clicks in the off season.

Best for the club to bite the bullet and get rid of him and let his whinging carry on at another club. Good luck with that Benny boy. Those other clubs can now see that you are a prima donna and not worth the millions as an ageing average halfback.

I read that too. Utterly disgraceful words from the captain of the club. What a f$cking tosser.
