Interesting to see what level of relationship Flanno has with Schuster… if we could pick him up subsidised at $500k that is the sort of player in 13 where we could start the restructure of the team around. Hopefully he is buddies with Suli, tuitavake and Fifita from Manly days.
Not worth $800k though

Be really happy to move Connor on, his contract finishes this year, and it opens up a dev spot.

It does makes me sad too, cause the guy is a dragon thru and thru (was on the podcast recently, has only ever wanted to play for us.. that was his life goal) and I recall 2-3yrs ago Wishart & Mullheisen trialled together at 1st grade hooker.. and I think Mulheissen looked the better player at the time.. but since then Connor hasnt gotten better at NSW Cup level.. he's solid no doubt.. but I swear he used to have a kicking game.. that has disappeared, he doesnt run.. though he can tackle and pass, and thats nothing to be ignored.. but at the elite level, you need some little x-factor to justify development... and there must be a dozen kids stuck behind 1 or 2 gun hookers at a given club.

We do need to replace him though, Liddle has a good run with injury but we need to bring some one in I would say.. I dont think the JF kids are banging down the door? and HFinau I dunno.. I need to see more minutes I think.. hes nippy yes, maybe a dedicated 14? But I feel like we deserve a genuine gun hooker in our system.. if not to replace Liddle, a young one to put pressure on him and cover injury.. like I think we can do better here.

not every player has to be a superstar and this would be one of the better money back players and he might even surprise everyone and become a superstar he definitely has the heart

I'm pretty sure he's mates with Suli, and I think Tuitavake and Fifita might have been two of the younger lads in that old Manly crew. Unless we can get Schuster to play 13 at 400k I probably wouldn't take him, he's trouble. Mainly on the field I mean
