Anyone classifying that game as a dud is either not a Rugby League fan, tired of life, a moron, or a permutation of all three misfortunes.
They are saying it’s a dud compared to the standard of origin which it was

last years series Was awful too

when you get eight games a week all shown on tv you get fussy about games

You aren't going to win a game against a great team being a player down.

As good as RL is. It is a flaw in the sport
88 grand final ellery hanly vs terry lamb

you want star players taken out of games by cheap shots

Google rorkes drift and talk about being a player down

or qld in Origin when they were down loads of players in Sydney and Wally Lewis scored a solo try to win

Classy response.

Teams create overlaps when it's 13 v13. For 70 plus minutes, Qld had a numerical advantage of 13 v12. So did the result of the game surprise you in those circumstances?

Additionally, NSW had four forwards on the bench. There was no outside back or utility to adequately cover for Sua'ali'i.

As for the game itself, NSW tried hard to hang in there, but the result was decided inside the first ten minutes. The scoreline reflected it

They could’ve

they had the lions share of ball on the qld line for 20 mins

their attack was clueless

Who is a bad defender that QLD team?

Numbers wise they were always going to have no options for that reason.

In a random club game it is possible but not against an elite team.

It is why in Basketball, Ice Hockey or hell even Rugby the player is out of the game but the team at some stage can replace the player

Not with that attitude, with the queenslander spirit anything is possible.

A load of bullshit. All the spirit in the world isn't going to make gaps appear.

There isn't a single report post game that anyone has said it wasn't game over at that point

Queensland wrapped up the 1989 series in game II in probably their most courageous effort in Origin history. They lost Allan Langerwith a broken leg, Mal Meninga with a fractured eye socket and Paul Vautin with an elbow injury by half-time. In the second half, Michael Hancock came off with a bruised shoulder while Bob Lindner played on with a fracture in his ankle which he carried for much of the match before retiring five minutes from the end, leaving the Maroons down to 12 men.[1]

State with defeatist attitude suffers defeat, colour me shocked.

Winning origin requires digging deep and overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds, something that qlders understand.

The post game had 1.1m.

So the game lost 2m people as a result of the winner being known since 7min
That is disingenuous to say the least. The game averaged 3.43 million. That is a fact. It could not have averaged that many viewers if you are correct. But keep focusing on the negative and keep digging that deep hole in the face of logic.

So there is no way that viewers would not of tuned out once the result was known?
