Nine Network dominated TV viewership last night, with Aussies tuning in to watch the Pre-Match, Post-Match, and Game 1 of the series. The Match raked in a Total TV National Reach of 5,306,000 and Total TV National Average Audience of 3,436,000.

huge reach.

Great numbers.
Origin 2 should see similar numbers in Brisbane, no doubt a decrease In Sydney, hopefully being in Melbourne on a Wednesday night will get a much bigger Melbourne audience.

Sydney might not be down that much. The game for NSW fans was over within 10 minutes basically and I’m assuming that probably won’t be the case for game 2. A closer game may help ratings stay similar.

How the FXXX do the Tillies ? hold the edge ?
They don’t

the journalist doesn’t know the difference between reach and average ratings

he’s taking the Mathildas reach figure and compared it to the nrl average figure

the real comparison is 3.3 million vs 1.1 million lol

that’s the quality of rugby league journalism in oz
