Not sure why the NRL has a higher figure than Nine or VOZ put out., but they may have got updated data during the afternoon. VOZ isnt supposed to work like that though

According to Nine

State of Origin Game 3 secured a National Total TV Reach of 5.426 million and a Total TV National Audience of 3.652 million - up 44.7% year-on-year.

State of Origin Game 3 was the highest rating match since Game 1 2016, and the highest rating Game 3 since 2013 (based on overnight using TAM/VPM).

State of Origin Game 3 recorded a BVOD audience of 864,000 on 9Now:

Highest rating program of all time on 9Now,
the three games in the series take out the highest rating programs on 9Now
Second highest rating live program of all time (across all broadcasters)
Up 83.1% year-on-year

State of Origin Game 3 was the No. 1 program of the night in:
Sydney - Total TV Audience of 979,000
Melbourne - Total TV Audience of 318,000
Brisbane - Total TV Audience of 848,000

State of Origin Game 3 was the No. 2 program of the night in:
Adelaide - Total TV Audience of 85,000
Perth - Total TV Audience of 142,000

So much for declining tv ratings. People still watch big events. Really should put NRL in box seat for huge rights deal.

Bvod and 5 city so far. Great numbers
It's not just the game, those pre and post game ratings are enormous. No wonder Origin is the jewel in the crown of Australian broadcasting

Have faith mate, St Peter will make it right 😉
I have no faith in him. Much of the stuff he does is for the benefit of Racing NSW. I'm convinced that the only reason he's pushing the Las Vegas gambit is because some states in America have legalised sports betting. He's hoping punters from America will take a punt on betting on our teams. Racing NSW stands to benefit from that because American punters will be more likely to bet on horse racing than a game they don't understand.

I read some where that Racing NSW gets a slice of the money that betting companies in NSW make from NRL.

Cool, well he is the CEO so it's his job to look out for racing. But under our Lord and Saviour St Peter, we have once again put the game in a position where we are back in the fight for biggest sport in Australia. That wasn't the case for a couple of long decades there.

Record revenues, assets on the books, record viewership, record attendances expansion and now he's building the game up for his final masterpiece, a record TV deal. I'd imagine he'll ride off into the sunset after that.

It's all good mate. Future is bright, especially in our neck of the woods where we'll probably end up with the Tigers entering the NRL sometime in the next 10-20 years too.

Phil Gould had Total TV at 3.828m. Then the official ratings said 3.652m. Now the NRL say 3.829m.

I think the big story here is Gus undercutting the NRL by 1k. Will he escape another fine?

Harmony reigns over BVOD. Everybody seems to agree on 864k.

He f**ked up the last broadcast deal so monumentally it provided AwFuL with the biggest funding dispairty they've had over us.

How am I supposed to have faith in the bloke who signed the worst broadcast deal in history?

He either did it through incompetence or self-preservation. If it's the latter then he's a charlatan. If it's the former then he's not fit to be at the negotiating table during the next round of broadcast rights.

If he brings in PNG then he's creating an enormous obstacle for the game that will hang around its neck for a couple of decades. You can forget about the broadcasters paying extra for a team from PNG because it will provide no value to them.

Perth kick off time was 6pm. So not ideal sport viewing time.
I've been telling everyone that Perth's time zone is not conducive for generating strong ratings because it's up against the 6pm news on Wed-Fri. No one wants to hear it because they're too busy kidding themselves into thinking Perth is the answer to all of the game's problems.
