I love it, I always have. SOO isn't a thing to me except watching a good game.So is international RL appealing or not?
Whereas watching Tonga or Samoa beat Aus, NZ or England is very appealing to me.

If not, why keep citing it in code-war contexts? Just accept that NRL v AFL is domestic comp v domestic comp. With Origin as the only differentiation.

Cause it’s funny to wind up afl fans
Its appeal is on par with an nrl finals game when Australia plays so that’s not so bad
Crowds for Australia in oz and nz in nz are poor though
The big one is Samoa v Tonga which could be huge
The international game is my favourite form of Rugby league. I'm craving more Aus v England, we haven't had a single match since 2017. Also I'm excited to see how far Samoa's current golden generation can goI love it, I always have. SOO isn't a thing to me except watching a good game.

In this age where attention spans can only be measured in nanoseconds staying relevant 12 months of the year giving content to the networks and news outlets is important . While Alf is giving up the offseason to cricket in the wasteland states up here in the big leagues we have the cricket personalities criticising the nrl for being relevant in December and JanuaryAFL Troll: We are the true Australian national football code.
LU Stalwart: Fumbleball is a cult. RL is an international game.
AFL Troll: But none of you give a crap about Poms and Kiwis. All you care about is NRL and Origin.
LU Stalwart: I agree.
No necessarily. The NRL is by far the biggest league of any sport in the world. They have a 17 game season, five weeks of finals, then nothing for 30 weeks. In this age where attention spans can only be measured in nanoseconds staying relevant 12 months of the year giving content to the networks and news outlets is important . Origin needs to morph into something because they’re missing out on a lot of kiwis, PI’s and Pom’sI love it, I always have. SOO isn't a thing to me except watching a good game.

I thought you paid a yearly sub for that service to get all gamesProbably the wrong thread, but $46 on watchnrl.com for the Grand Final. Way to f**k over international viewers.
There’s also a grand final only option Yearly sub is expensive too.I thought you paid a yearly sub for that service to get all games
It was free if you’re phone company was TelstraI know it’s a business but that’s steep. The Telstra NRL app was $80/year about 6 years ago and that was all games
I know the knee jerk reaction is no, but do we have NSW and QLD compete in the international game and save the Kangaroos for a four yearly tour of England and the world cup?Origin needs to morph into something because they’re missing out on a lot of kiwis, PI’s and Pom’s
No chanceI know the knee jerk reaction is no, but do we have NSW and QLD compete in the international game and save the Kangaroos for a four yearly tour of England and the world cup?
I do not remember that, when did that happen? No chance
Might as well give up on it if that’s the case
Dunno if you remember qld origin side to toured England mid season and between origin games
Yeah a bit before my time that one. I am a fan of the SL concept of adding a NZ team to Origin. I know that's not popular either but it expands the concept to help us get the Kiwis more involved.
Probably not, there's a lot of Samoan and Tongan player's in both these team's anyway.I know the knee jerk reaction is no, but do we have NSW and QLD compete in the international game and save the Kangaroos for a four yearly tour of England and the world cup?
