If they're going to play in Leeds they should be playing at Elland Road. Headingley is too small.
Agree, though fans hate Elland Rd.
Could go either way. Australia could have wrapped up the series by game 3 in which case size of Headingly is probably adequate. or if by some miracle england has won it by then, or even more if its tied 1 game each it will be woefully inadequate for the ticket demand.

It’ll be good if/when the Elland Road redevelopment happens and English RL has the option of a 50k+ stadium in Leeds/Yorkshire.

I’d say Leeds will be game 3 on the assumption there is a fair chance it will be 2-0 to Australia by then. London game 1, would have preferred Tottenham too but Wembley is fine.

Im in Uk in Nov so really hoping games are a bit later and I can get to them all! Going to Ashes matches in the 80's and 90's was still a highlight of my RL viewing.

So what is the thinking in regards to England’s chances in this series. With the Leeds venue there’s been enough talk on here to suggest the punters expect an easy Tour for the Kangaroosd as the 3rd venue it could be considered the correct choice.

We know that it’s been 8 years since the 2 sides played and that was a 6-0 result to the ‘Roos. Also English clubs have won the last 2 WCCs. Both on Australian soil and home soil..

So what’s the thinking? Will England be competitive enough for a win? Will Australia win 3-0?

1st test match could be close if australia don’t play any warm up matches, England will need to be at full strength I’m thinking. I wish England had a hard as nails front rower for that go forward

Yeh our props are ageing. Depends on form, injuries and who the coach picks. He tends to pick his faves rather than the form players or the up and coming talent.

hopefully it's close series, I’ve been waiting since 1970 to see England win one, it’s about due lol

I think it will be a very close series. I’ll pick Aus winning 2-1

if England are full strength they have class backs and some gun back rowers. Hopefully aus have a couple of key players injured ,)

games are harder to win in England, wet pitches, smaller grounds and intimidating crowds.

my NRL team is already cooked this season, im already counting down to the end of year internationals:D

I saw pvl interviewd on sky uk and he said they are in the final stages of sorting logistics and venues will be officially announced within a couple of weeks.

the last tour was
Wembley, crowd 56k
old Trafford, crowd 44k
elland road, 40k

do we think we can get crowds like that this year ??

hope the emus get a game against France, pvl did mention in the iv the importance of growing the game there.

Headingly is an awful choice but picking this one is a cracker
Might as well have held the third game at Huddersfield if wanted it in Yorkshire, at least it has 5k extra seating and all undercover. If its tied at 1:1 only being able to sell 19k tickets is going to look very stupid.

Organisers probably realise it’s going to be a dead rubber lol

Assuming it’s actually a decider then it’s a colossal stuff up

Really like the choice of Wembley and Everton though

If they can get 50k plus for Wembley and 40k for Everton that’s huge for English rugby. League

Maybe the Roos should throw the series just for the good of the game
