Once Souths move to Allianz, Penrith moves back to their new ground, and if Saints can move some games to Allianz.. can see how some more of these lower averages can climb up towards 20k.

At the same time if clubs like Storm and dolphins can keep building, we could get closer to a 25k average in the not too distant future.

Last time they did a Sydney double header 110,000 turned up.
If they had Tigers v Panthers on at 2pm before the big game, 15k Tigers fans would have turned up and 1,000 Penrith fans. That game would have had 25k and there would be 76k in for the main event.
That is what we want.
Wasn't the 110,000 Sydney double header 1999 but a year later in 2000 it was only 60,000 or less ?

We've got to get to a world where all big Sydney teams (Dogs, Eels, Tigers, Souths) are averaging a minimum 20k regardless of ladder position. That's the only way we're going to see a permanent upwards shift.

Souths moving back to Allianz would help.

Tigers settling on a clear stadium strategy and not being so shit and chaotic would help.

Warriors, Raiders, Sea Eagles all need either new stadiums or major upgrades.

Dragons and Sharks.... cause for concern. Sharks at least can lean on the capacity excuse, they've tried repeatedly for stadium funding to no avail. Dragons, if they were dead last I might understand, but they're not.

Dragons of got a lovely stadium in Wollongong just need to move full time apart from the odd big game at Allianz.

Sharkies, you own your own ground, rent it out to Sydney FC when they are expecting a lower crowd from interstate clubs.

Move most of your game esp inter sydney games to the new sfs and play lower out of town teams in Cronulla. Please. Same could almost be said of Manly. Take a few big rivalries to the sfs.

So we know that Doggies-Souths draws on Good Friday and Doggies-Parra draws on the King's Birthday. Are there any other tentpole fixtures to build the Sydney season around? Is there scope for further games at Homebush on the Easter weekend and make the most of the Royal Easter Show nextdoor?
