It seems to be them, Roosters and Parra fans who make up most of the Nathan Naysayers. Weird thing is I haven't heard Maroons fans diss his ability at all, even the ones whose NRL team had their hearts ripped out by him in a Grand Final.

My brother, Parra fans would love for Cleary and Luai and Burton and Katoa and Hynes and f**ken Kyle Flanagan to play halves for NSW have you seen us without Moses?

I don't think it's wrong to say that Cleary hasn't stepped up in Origin the way he does in finals games. In fact I'm kind of amazed anyone disagrees. He's far too good to be just fine at Origin is the point most people make, I think.

This is mostly fair but every game played with Teddy in the way deserves to have a massive asterisk next to it. It's great not having him ruin the whole right edge with his selfish bullshit heroball

Queensland tripped over the finish line so Slater using the tragic death of Paul Green as a way to gain sympathy for himself is all forgiven!
Queenslander!!!
Bumping because this post aged beautifully.

Slater leads his team to victory against the worst Origin coach of all time, so clearly he was morally justified mentioning Paul Green in response to Aaron Woods, who was actually the real scumbag for daring to label Billy a 'grub'. How dare he say anything critical about any Qld player past or present. It was all the fire in the belly Qld needed (because trying to win the series just isn't motivation enough), so thanks Woodsy!

Same way Cameron Smith was perfectly in his right to care more about getting a penalty than the welfare of a fellow player who was clearly in a bad way right near him. No, the real scumbags were Channel 9 and 60 Minutes for daring to for air that disgraceful hit-piece in the lead-up to the 2015 decider. Nothing to do with sharing the story of a bloke who paid the ultimate price for the game he loved. No, it was clearly intended as a filthy, underhanded attempt by Ch.9 to try and throw poor Cameron Smith and Qld off their game before an Origin decider. Thankfully Qld stood tall against such adversity and proved their captain was morally in the right all along.

QUEENSLANDER!!!
