When will the media label Cleary's origin career what it is... dogshit.

Pearce was better.

Pearce was never rated anything other than the (at best) 3rd best half on the field and had to deal with the likes of locker, JT, Cronk, GI, Slater, Smith and the list goes on.

Cleary is meant to be this generational talent and the best player in the sport and is playing against bog average QLD teams but consistently phones it on at this level
JT and Joey weren't yet showing their "generational talent" at Origin level when they were the same age as Cleary.

Lockyer was a bad series away from getting dropped when he was on the verge of 30.

Mitchell Moses was a meme until he was 27-28, not the guy NSW apparently missed tonight.

NSW are blessed with a few genuinely good halves options at the moment, which puts further weight on the shoulders of Chin to have these elite-level games in Origin. If he was awarded that try late in the first half, people would be talking completely differently about him right now...

Tonight was the only the second actual bad game Nath has had for NSW and he shouldn't have been playing. Probably just f**ked Penrith's year which I'm sure lots will enjoy

I actually thought Munster was alright and I haven’t rated him for years.
Munster is usually alright when his team is on the front foot and has a comfortable lead.

It's in pressure games where I don't put him on the same level as someone like Moses, who is the same age but has developed into a genuine big moment player who doesn't get rattled or go missing in those clutch games.

My team lost. I'm just not biased enough to claim it was match fixing and then completely disappear when all the penalties and restarts went the other way. Don't worry, you weren't the only one who went missing on that blatantly incorrect call.

Nafe is a generational club player who just can't seem to hack it at the next level.

He is the 2020s Josh Jackson.

Peter Sterling would f**king love him.

I am tempted to spend 15 minutes doing a rating of each or the 34 players just so I can give Cleary a 1/10 which would be the worst out of all 34 of them by 3 point.

3-0 sweep predictions are just stupid really. Even the golden boys only pulled it of just once and they needed Ennis to hand it straight to them.
There were 3 clean-sweeps in the 80's (with just 8 series in the decade)
2 in the 90's, 12 months apart
1 at the very beginning of the 2000's with a clearly superior side vs a side going through a transition
1 at the very beginning of the 2010's with a clearly superior side vs a side with a whole bunch of issues off the field that led to the disjointed mess on the field in all 3 games
Nothing since then.

Either it's a massive coincidence (and some would say, bad luck) or games are influenced to create the best possible chance of an upset victory or a grandstand finish, which is great for the games' showpiece on a commercial level...

I'm not too concerned about Game 3. In the last 2 series, Qld have won twice. Once with an extra man for 70+ minutes and the other with an 8-0 penalty count in their favour in the first half. The actions of Luai and Lomax were dumb dumb dumb and grubby (sorry for saying that, people need to consider the effect their words have on people and remember Paul Green). But every other 50/50 call was in the favour of Qld that first half, giving them plenty of ball inside the NSW half to set up their try's. NSW were too aggressive in defence, and a little too conservative in attack despite the conditions. Even with that, and a 20-point lead at halftime, the Maroons were literally two shanked goal-kicks away from becoming a new term for the word choke that would be used across Australia, even by people who don't follow this game.

NSW have the depth and the home ground advantage for The Decider. They'll take a lot out of tonight and the momentum is with them.

If Stefano whatever the f**k his name is hadn’t of obstructed one of the Maroon merkins then Nathan could have had a match turning try. His luck with injury is really hampering him but sure he’s the easy target for you pricks. Mitch Piss only won the one comp in his career off the back of Sonny Bill and Maloney anyway.. he never won Origin man of the match awards like Nathan in Game 2 of 2020 and 2022 or won a GF practically on his own like Nathan in 2023.
